Yeah they are exactly the same, but one having a much bigger capacity than the other. If you're into putting music AND movies onto your ipod, I would suggest getting either or, depending how much you plan to put on your ipod.

^ I think it voids the warranty. ? Although you could always do a factory reset and it clears everything up.

do applications take up any space on the ipod touch? Applications downloaded from the iTunes Music Store take up space. are there any negative side effects of jailbreaking the touch? In some cases, jailbroken iPhones have been rendered inoperable by software updates; the same could potentially happen with the iPod Touch. |

I still haven't jailbroken my iPod Touch (too lazy), but if you do jailbreak it and want to update the software, there's a special way to do it. Either way, you could always reset your iPod, update the software, and jailbreak with the newer version, but that is a major hassle.

worth it to jailbreak imo, summerboard + customize alone may be enough

are the applications that you can get from jailbreaking and from the itunes app store the same? Usually not. and also, if you buy an app from the itunes store and a new version comes out, do u get the update for free? Probably, but pricing is on a per-application basis and is up to the developer. |

thanks
is using safari on the ipod touch free? because last night i went to the youtube page (not the application) and it said something like youtube is a data intensive application and we recommend that you upgrade to an unlimited data plan with your mobile service provider to avoid additional charges so much for "a quick question" |

This is the iPod Touch you're talking about and not the iPhone, right?
Safari is free (I mean, free in the sense that you don't have to pay additional fees, but it works just from your wireless internet), but because of the restrictions of the iPod Touch Wi-Fi, you can't view any pages with Flash. YouTube videos cannot be viewed on Safari, but you can watch them from the YouTube app that should be provided with the iPod Touch. |
