so my bf finally bought his ps3 w/ the metal gear solid 4. i intend on playing this game just because it's there. i've heard the hype about it..but, what's the big fuss about it? and ive seen like clips from it but don't get it...it looks like a cod4. idk.

idk what the game is about period.
i wanted to know if it were like gears of war, call of duty, or like crysis. blah blah.

i know my bf would shake his head at me for even comparing it to cod4.

I've watched my boyfriend play it last month. I don't really know much about video games, but while watching him play it, man it was really LONG because there's so many cut scenes. Expect to see a lot of sunny-side-up egg-frying from Sunny while she sings numbers.

Well if you've played Final Fantasy, there's some cut scenes there too, I believe. I've actually played played co-op once on Gears of War with the TonTon, but I am pretty bad at FPS, so yea that was short-lived. Definitely different. Dunno about COD4, but MGS4 seems more umm.. strategic at some points. Augh and let's not forget one part where I helped button mash press in order to get snake through a really hot tunnel thingy. That's like, the only part I played because I can press a button repeatedly really fast.


And once again, this is from the point of view of a chick who barely plays video games at all. lol my boyfriend and I are total opposites. Is your MSG4 copy the limited collector's game, or just the regular one? Oh man, the MGS4 limited collector's strategy guide is sold-out almost everywhere, and they're double the price on eBay and/or amazon.

a lot of cut scene, 60% of Metal Gear Solid 4 is cut scene, Why ? because it's a game with a real story ( scenario don't know if this word is used in english )

love the online play :] must have for all mgs fans. I dont mind the cut scenes here its rather enjoyable and COD4 is way different than this though I have both and play both:O

I was never into the metal gear series to be honest.

My stores still has bundles, if anyone wants one you should still be able to get one from gamestops, everywhere got a shipment recently.
