If for some reason he chooses her to be his running mate, would you still vote for him?
You don't have to give an in depth answer (unless you want to ;), I'm just curious about people's general reaction(s). |

Unfortunately, I cannot vote, but if I could, then yes, I would vote for an Obama/Clinton ticket. And also, even by a relatively narrow margin, Obama is leading the vast majority of opinion polls, so I don't quit eunderstand how one could say McCain has the vote. Oh, and McCain is a dreadful public speaker on any stage larger than a town hall meeting.

Why would that be a dumb decision? She had over 18 million supporters, and came inches from beating him. He'd end up gaining the support of the rest of the party. not necessarily. it could have a negative effect because he's had this whole "new school politics" message going for how long now? he's been pushing this whole time how we need change, and she isn't change. so some people could view him putting her on the ticket as contradictory. or it could be a good thing for him. who knows, i'm just saying. |

^I know what you mean, but the flip side of that would be the view of the ticket as being balanced.

McCain is liberal?! Ahhhha ha, holy shit! That's the dumbest shit I've ever heard! McCain's voting record has been pretty "controversial" for a Republican. He has always been seen, up until this election season, as a pretty liberal Republican, hence why his popularity with fellow Reps. was shitty until he started kissing their ass to gain support. Why would that be a dumb decision? She had over 18 million supporters, and came inches from beating him. He'd end up gaining the support of the rest of the party. LOL, your ignorance makes me giggle. He may gain a few votes from her supporters, but he'll lose a lot from the people who don't think a woman can hold her own in the office, especially given the negative image Hill-dawg has in the media. There are so many ignorant white trash kids that are going to come out for this vote to make sure a black male doesn't get the presidency, let alone if he has a WHITE WOMAN up in thur. |

^ See, I don't kno how true that is. Millions of Hilary supporters are likely to change their alleigance to Obama and vote democrat anyway, which is only going to be helped by her actually joining the ticket.
As far as people who would vote against him just to keep Hilary out, I don't think many of those people WOULD have voted for Obama in the first place, whether through ignorance or political opposition, so I don't think adding Hilary to the ticket would actively be the reason for that many people not voting for him. |

Actually, Hillary is the enemy of the southern housewife. Even those who might for whatever reason vote for Obama could change their minds if Hillary were attached. I know my mom feels this way, and I know she's not alone.

Obama will always have my vote even if he says "The hell with America".
Obama is that dude. *puts on Obama shirt, and waits for some racist in my state to say something to my face that they would only say on the internet hiding behind the veil of anonymity that allows them to carry out their cowardice acts * ![]() |

but wouldn't this possibly be a good option for him since she likes to preach about her experience? since that is what he lacks, her opinion could be important for a lot of things i think. they do have conflict on certain topics like how to handle the health care system and such but i really feel that two heads are better than one and as long as they can come together i think it will really change our country and the way it is running now.
as for our war and economy, i really feel that obama really has his hands full because now he's the guy behind the elephant that has to pick up all the sh*t that came out of bush's ass. *edit: all i know is that i will be voting for him. |

i absolutely cannot STAND obama.
if i could vote, i would have been rooting for hilary from the beginning. but, since she lost on democratic side, and obama is left, i'm pretty much for mccain. i wouldn't say i think he would be the best president ever, but i think he's a much better choice than obama. this whole election sorta....sucks. |

It's like the people in the last two elections who jumped on the "anyone but Bush" train because it was cool to be a Bush-hater. Not that I'm the biggest fan, but at least I could say why without just copping out and using the words "incompetent" and "idiotic".
Well, it's not entirely like that, but it is in the sense that she probably (no offense intended) doesn't have an actual reason. |

Millions of Hilary supporters are likely to change their alleigance to Obama and vote democrat anyway, which is only going to be helped by her actually joining the ticket. I don't think that's the case. I think Hilary is trying to hurt Obama as much as possible so next year she can go against McCain. If Obama wins this year, it will be mighty hard for her to win the next election. Out of curiosity, how does the general public in the UK feel about the American politicians, or is that one of those things they could care less about? |

^ Meh, the thing is, is in that case, it's a BIG gamble to join the ticket, because if he wins with her attached, she;s fairly f**ked, at least until 2016.
And frankly, our own government is f**ked up enough as it is, without worrying about y'all right now. As far as the general opinion goes, most people are generally pro-Obama, although mainly due to Bush-fatigue rather than anything else. This, of course, is with far less general information saturation. Actually, Hillary is the enemy of the southern housewife. Even those who might for whatever reason vote for Obama could change their minds if Hillary were attached. I know my mom feels this way, and I know she's not alone. Irrelevant, but since when has your mother ever been considered southern? |
