I agree that sometimes there are some "tasteless" things in the signatures. But there are also some pretty tasteless remarks made in the actual posts. Most of it can be attributed to the maturity level around here.

I've been using CB for a very very long time now. Never really been a member of the forums, but I've used the resources a lot. I remember back when I first started coming here how it was more of a resource community, with a community. Now it is a community, with a resource section. People can't even ask honest questions in the resource forums without having at least one person making a snide remark. Of course there are going be be "stupid" questions, and annoying people. There are always going to be. That is just a part of life. How many new members have left recently because of remarks made to them by senior members? How many people join, and never post because they see the treatment other people get?

Basically, CB needs a facelift all around. Not just in the signatures.

Well, the easiest solution to that is just to hide members' signatures.

why don't you read the sentence after the one you bolded where it said she wasn't a member but used the resources.

...registering as a member doesn't = how long someone has being using this site.

What resources would she need in reading the forums?
Are there not tutorials/graphic help?

Then she would need to register to ask for a question specifically in the forums.

you don't need to register to read the resource forums for help. i'm just saying that i highly doubt she is actually calling two months a long time since after she said she had being using it a long time she pointed out that it wasn't as a member. so i dont think you should discredit her opinion based on a register date is all i'm saying.

I agree with you. Unfortunately, the ones making the snide remarks also agree with you but have their own ideas about the direction CB needs to go.

i don't agree that creatblog is more of a community than a resource center. i mean i don't see how it could be. the majority of the visits cb gets are for it's resources, not it's forum community. right?

i still think the resource aspect of cb dominates, and always will.

The resource center definitely is the main thing which drives members in. However, if you look at the active users, there are very few who come and post regularly (and exclusively) in the resource center. There are by far more who only post in the community center and don't touch the resource forums, and don't use the layouts either.

Kryo, I know you're perfectly capable of resizing your own signatures, and you've been here for long enough to know how to follow the rules. If your signature was edited out and you lost the link, then I apologize; there's nothing we can do for you. sad.gif

I removed it, but I know you can go find something else to put in your signature. It isn't my job to resize it for you and it's not my job to make sure that you save it your computer. Sorry, but there isn't anything I can do. I asked you nicely to resize it. If you couldn't, I'm sure you know someone who could have.

Blame facebook. That's probably why I gave up trying to find a layout for my myspace and/or xanga.

I had a really sweet signature.
It was some John John Jesse art and it was removed because it wasn't pg-13. I didn't see what was so wrong with it, though.
I mean you have real videos of girls bouncing their tits and moaning and shit but AMAZING art is worse than that?
I think if we are going to crack down on signatures we should do it all around.

Then don't use that image for your signature. It's not her problem, and she has no reason to apologize to you.
