blah.
so i want to make a 404 error page, but every time i make .htaccess, i get a 500 internal error message which saddens me greatly. i've checked the dreamhost forums and their fixes kind of confuse me... does anybody know why having an .htaccess in a dreamhost hosted website screws things up? |

It's got nothing in it except for the error-document thing:
ErrorDocument 404 /index.php?error=404 Everything'll run smoothly for about an hour or so, then I'll get that error and once I remove the .htaccess file, it goes back to normal. |
