DIV Help Please, Opera and DIV's don't work well together do they? Options

hi guys. i need your help understanding the difference between internet explorer's coding and other browsers coding. here is an example of what im talking about.





internet explore has it right. except for one little thing. the little .r{} thing at the top. it usually is covered by the image but ever since myspace's update this morning it moved down a little and even if i adjust the positions it wont move. what does the .r{} thing even mean? maybe you can help me with that too.

then theres opera. the colors in the comment box are correct and all the scroll bars are properly colored, but where did the background color go? also the music player isnt hidden anymore. and again, the .r{} thing.

then firefox has it all wrong. all the same problems of opera but more. the custom scroll bars arent even there. the comment baox is not even the right shade of blue... come on firefox!!!

to answer part of your question...different browsers are just that...different. can't do much about it.
although there is one simple solution for part of your problem.

ok, let's say you're having that problem with the background color.
if you do this:

firefox reads the normal one, only IE reads the one with _ in front of it. catch my drift? i have no clue about opera though. i've never used it.

ok. i understand. internet explorer just reads html differently. it reads with an underline.

how do i hide the music player in firefox and add the custom scroll bars and get the greenish blue color back? is there any way to make it look like the way internet explorer displays it?

well since opera and firefox both kind of had the same problems lets hope that they require the same fix.

...in your body CSS.
firefox doesn't support custom scrollbars. and if you use that firefox/IE solution i gave you, the background color will change to what it's supposed to be, when you put in the HEX colors.

to hide the music player (music will still play)

[UPDATE] I put the code in. save it. then look at my profile in firefox. its the same so i went back and went to put it back in when i noticed it was erased. why did that happen? it keeps doing it to.
