You don't have to watch the Discovery Channel to learn that. I learned about whales being mammals in elementary school. o_O

Reading the second half of this thread killed some of my brain cells.

haha yay hopefully this one won't jump. Anyway if its a male and hes blowing bubbles then it could mean that hes ready to make little babies. The males make the bubbles for the female plant the little seed XD Of course the bubbles should stay instead of popping if this is the case.

I once stuck my hand down Nicki's garbage disposal to rescue her goldfish after it fell in the sink during tank cleaning.

Also, maybe the rock shuffling is some sort of scratching? Like removing dead skin?

Bettas move around the gravel to establish their territory. All of mine did that. The males are very aggressive. If you hold up a mirror to them, they'll go ballistic trying to kill it (that happens with me, too).

blink.gif I don't even know what to say about the whole whale thing.
QUOTE(libertie @ Jun 13 2008, 04:21 PM) *
I thought that was common knowledge, so I believe that Reidar didn't just take that information from some website. xD

My old fish Toothbrush jumped out. I scooped him up and put him back in his bowl but he died the next day.

Then my other fish Mr. Krabs jumped out, but then my two dogs clawed him to death.

And Betta fish are so cool.
But I think if I had one, I'd kill it because I'd have it sit in front of a mirror all day (: Teehee.

You're right, I would lie about zoology because I want to be cool. All the hip kids are discussing the taxonomy parameters of the tuatara these days.

... lol

So how is the fish, Dani? Any suicidal attempts as of yet? Oh and I can't remember if you mentioned this, but what color is your betta? I had a red one and a blue one. They lived in two separate bowels but I liked to face them towards each other. shifty.gif

I would think that having a fish would be boring. But I guess it's a pretty easy job. My brother had a bunch of sharks with other little fish in a tank. But one of the sharks got bigger than the rest and ate all the other fish...

^LOL. I bought the fish not really thinking he'd be that interesting but that he'd be pretty on my kitchen table. Turns out I'm more fascinated than I thought I would be. xD

That's natural. When you have something red and something blue the first instinct is to watch them compete. shrug.gif

He's red, though. His name is Sebastian. I've actually had him for a few months (4-5) now, and no suicidal tendencies just yet. <3

You're a real sweetheart. <3 I love to see people who just joined show up and automatically just try to troll. It's pretty amusing considering you have absolutely no backup and nobody thinks you're being funny. It was a nice attempt, though; I hope it works out for you in the future.

Also, I HAVE a real fish. That's the point.

And the damn thing died two days later.

My roommate this year went through 2 or 3 goldfish. I don't think she ever changed the water.

When I lived in FL, we have a big fish tank. And the smaller fish used to always die because they would get sucked into those filter tube things... It was really quite sad because it was really hard to get them out of the tube and they would start to decompose in there....

Or sometimes if one of the fish died and floated up to the top, the other fish would eat him! :'(

Fish tanks are very tramatising!
