Free websites Options

I'm looking for a free website, kind of along the lines of geocities or freewebs. I already looked at previous topics and the "main" directory, but the websites suggested (http://www.hostee.net, http://www.webhostingtalk.com, http://get-what-you-give.com/) were either for a forum, or a hostee looking to be hosted. I'm not looking for a host or a domain. I'm only interested in finding more free sites out there.

I don't like freewebs because it expires. Geocities is a pain, and angelfire is HORRIBLE! Are there any more out there?

No she's saying she doesnt want to pay. she just wants like: freewebs.com/hername. So pretty much she wants free hosting that isnt geocities freewebs or anglefire.

But I have to be honest you probably wont find anything else casue geocities and freewebs are the best there is for free hosting.

I think I used t35.com for free hosting. I only used it for a few months, but it was pretty good. It has popup ads, though, which is kind of annoying.

You can try applying for a subdomain [http://yourname.domain.com or http://domain.com/yourname]. There are a lot of people out there with domains who will give you a certain amount of space/bandwidth and you can have as many pages as you like so long as you don't go over the limit. Unfortunately, most of them will also require you to have some prior webdesign experience, and will ask for a sample of your work (sometimes a site).

You could also get a free domain (.co.nr? .tk? never had any experience there), but you'd also have to get a host separately, so that doesn't really help you much.

Right now, I'm being hosted by Ben of Yachiru.net. You could try applying there. He doesn't have any graphic-related requirements; he just has to like your explanation of why you want to be hosted. However, I think you should still have some webdesign experience (get to know how to use FTP and that kind of stuff) because he's, uh, not exactly the kind of person you'd ask. XD He'll set everything up for you and in my experience it's very reliable (in the sense that there's been almost no downtime and the server's fast), but for the most part I get the feeling he'd rather not be bothered with questions about getting your site running.
