I'm glad you want to live a little more healthier :) I've got some tips for yah. You don't have to go on some drastic diet or nething...Next time your mom goes shopping ask her to buy some health food. (fruits, vegetables..) You can even make a list for her. :) . lol, If you cut down on the soda, and up the water that would be really great for you. You don't have to eat like a rabbit and eat only salads, but just eat everything in porportion and make sure to have veggies and fruits :) And you don't have to cut out carbs. You know there are good carbs and bad carbs? lol. Complex and Simple. Simple Carbs are bad for you, they are like pizza, pasta, white bread...ect....Complex Carbs are good for you :) and they include whole grains, fruits..raw fruits, whole wheat pasta and bread. If you just substiute those lil things, that will make a difference :)

As for excercising, you don't have to run outside in the 90% degree weather lol. You can get alot of excercise by swimming by the way...Swimming laps is def good for your body, and also fun :) lol. You can easily do situps and lunges inside your house, and walk up and down the steps a bunch of times :) just remember to drink lots of water :D..ok i'm done lol

do squats on your walls and try to eat more veggies and fresh fruits, less meat. (and fried stuff, although it is tempting ;] )

SWIM! SWIM! SWIM! veerrry good for you and it cools you off! =D You can also try going to a dancing studio, or just dance to music at home :P

you could try buying pilates videos.
Can you have your parents get you a membership to a local gym? (YMCA?)

My school has it's own weight room and I know I'm going to be there a lot this summer.

A treadmill would help too.

actually if you even walk in the heat you will burn a lot of calories. Heat makes you sweat, sweating makes you burn calories.

Try to eat mostly organic foods. Go vegetarian if you like. Join a swim team. Good luck!

Isn't sweating bad for your skin, though?

I suggest the swim team :) Great for your skin and health.

Banzai
Misinformation to rectify
Fun as pie.

1. Sit-ups are complete garbage.

2. Swimming does not make you "toned" (let alone help you get taller). "Tone" is the ionic measure of your muscles' readiness to do anaerobic work. This arises from heavy weightlifting.

3. Fats should not be avoided. Fat is metabolically inert and does not correlate with body fat.

4. Exercising in the morning before breakfast instigates muscle catabolism.

Why bump a two year + old topic? This person doesn't even come around here anymore. I'm sure over the past three years she's figured things out.
