But this is supposed to be in news!

I don't think it was that big of a deal. I think they should take out some of the reserves so the gas prices will go down, perhaps.

Well, Englanders are paying about £1.15 for a (UK) litre of unleaded petrol. Considoring that the US gallon is about three and a half times the size of our litre...and the dollar is worth .50 of the pound, that's $8 a gallon we presently pay for fuel.

I'm not trying to outbad ya'all in the doom and gloom stakes here, but we're probably seeing the beginning of the end of oil.

Seriously. Hybrids I guess will be the new thing.

though an episode of Penn and Teller bullsh*t said something like when oil eventually dries up, and we all use hybrids the new concern will be all the hybrid batteries will be a huge toxic waste. I think they went as far to say that nuclear power would be better.

blah no one wins.

I don't own a car, or have a license; I've never bought a single drop of gas.

Life is sweet.

^Yeah, except for the part where it has to be really difficult for you to get places. Or it's just a pain in the ass for your friends who do drive. I can't go anywhere right now because my car's in the shop, and god forbid I should not have friends who are too lazy to get their licenses. So we can't go anywhere until I get my car back, and it's completely unfair because it shouldn't all depend on me, especially as that still leaves me always paying for gas. [/rant]

Tomorrow is supposed to be the national petition to not buy any gas >.>

Those days are stupid and useless, a lesson I thought we all learned last year.

Anyone else read about the Environmental Protection Act, that if approved by Congress, would force gas prices to be kept high? This despite how much everyone's already complaining, and that it hasn't worked in Europe. I'm all for changes that help the environment, but this more than likely won't even. Buuuuuuuuullshit.

For a second there I thought you were being serious. In my head, I was like "well then, something else has to go up." Traffic congestion is only getting worse at this point. sad.gif I might as well walk everywhere.
