I've used Limewire before but over the years it's gotten worse so I was wondering what's a good program to dowload from that you know of that doesn't carry that many viruses?

I don't know... I guess we'll find out. I've seen people talk about it in other treads though.. even though it wasn't the main topic.

I'm not even clear as to whether or not you can discuss this. I'm assuming ILlegal download discussions shouldn't be supported by CB. But, um, have you tried torrents?

^ I Google search the album I want to download, if it's not directly in the results, go look around some Blogspot pages, they have links to the albums they uploaded. Then you download the ZIP file and extract.

Your assumption is correct. You should close this thread as we should not be endorsing it at all. Not to say that I have not suggested any programs -- I do -- but they're usually not in topics that are explicitly asking about piracy or anything illegal. That's all. And if this were to stay open, it's better to put this under INTERESTS > TECHNOLOGY since it doesn't really deal with music itself, just how to download it.

Regardless, I'd rather just use direct downloads. It's so much easier if you want to download MP3s. If you're smart enough, you'll be able to find any song that you want. I know I am able to.

i used to use limewire, but i was getting sick of it. it said that my internet never worked, but it actually did. frostwire is a lot better, but the format & stuff is the same.

Not to mention that there's about 50 more identical topics there. And none of that crap about not wanting to dig up old threads; I specifically remember a pretty recent one.
