Well...school lunches are kinda...bad. But after all, theyre kinda cheap, they come free from prisons, and it helps those that have low income by providing free lunch.
Well, that's what my school does.

Hmm...it would cost more to get them from restaurants, so I don't think they'd go for that. I think it's better to have them spend money on other things that would help students out more. Hmm...also, I don't think it would fit the "healthy" guidelines if we ordered them from McDonald's.

You shouldn't expect much from school lunches. They're there to simply satisfy the need for hunger (not necessarily your taste buds) and are usually expected to meet the nutritional values that most schools require of them for the health of the students. They're also very inexpensive in order that students from low-income families would be able to afford them and not go hungry. If you want the satisfaction of taste and good quality, go to a restaurant.

school lunches are frozen, and provided by a government contractor. we need better food. and they can do it.

Yes, but it would be more, and as someone said before, it wouldn't be fair to those that can barely afford those type of lunches.

Yes, but at what cost? Furthermore, there is always the option of packing your lunch, you know.

i pack my lunch. i just wish sometimes i could get real food, you know the kind you actually cook, from the school cafateria. they don't cook. the heat up the food. it's cheaper to get food precooked in a factory and just heat it up.

My school's lunches are nasty. _dry.gif The meat is not real, alot of food isn't clean looking, the bread is almost always stale.

That's why 1/2 of the school brings their own lunches.

I eat PB&J's. I've made friends with all of the people working in the cafateria, so I always get a sandwhich haha. Once I was late and they ran out, so the lunch lady made one just for me. _smile.gif

It doesn't matter to me, besides, my school isn't made of money. I don't go to a public school where we can get resturant quality food. They give us gross stuff, but you can eat it.

Uhm, first off, the students are not required to buy the lunch. If they detest the lunches so, they are permitted to bring their own lunches to school. At least they give you some food.

Suck it up.

Each School District should make its own choice based on their financial circumstances and what their kids want.
