Its ok. You used the pen tool a bit excessively though.

Couple of things that show up in my browser: The div that you placed the comment box in (or, over, rather) has a horizontal scrollbar. The layout image seems a bit too chaotic. It just seems to be pictures placed on a canvas and using the pen tool to surround them. I'd suggest getting to know your image program a bit better and experimenting with tutorials for things that you can do for your images. Otherwise, I think it's nice for your first div. I can deffinitely see the creativity that you have.

^I agree. The whole thing seems chaotic but there is potential. I think what makes it really chaotic is the random images. The image of the beach and the clouds are kind of out of place, imo. The pen tool seems kind of crazy. But i dont know, this is just me.
Overall, I think it's pretty ok. _smile.gif

not bad for a second layout ,but Im not feeling the div being on top of the ad, its a bit confusing and the background does not match the layout and the pen tool was used a bit excessively, but overall it has potential :]

A good first effort but there's a few things you should note, most of which have already been pointed out.

It's not centered, most people don't center myspace layouts, I think it looks unprofessional, especially considering how fast the average screen resolution is rising.

I don't care very much at all for the background image here, it's very messy and the image quality is low. I can appreciate that it's your second layout but maybe you should watch some photoshop training videos? search for "Lynda" training videos. And I agree, the pen is very overused here.

The comment box is in a weird place and has no styling, the submit button has no text or image.

The contrast of the white content and the black background is a bit off putting especially as it's not centered, changing the background colour to white and moving the navigation top center may look a lot neater.

Your page is longer than your content (you can scroll way past the ad). This isn't really a problem as you should move your ad down another 300/400 pixels anyway, so it's off screen on load.

There's not a lot of room for content and the scroll box you do have is rather hard to read.

Having said that, I do quite like your navigation bar, the links seperated by the symbols is quite quirky and the rollover colour is neutral and not too offensive on the eyes as people quite often do.

Keep it up, I'd like to see what you do next to see how you improve.

the only thing i dont like is how you have the dark/emo/whatever you would like to call it pictures in there.. and then a beach pic.. it just threw me off..

for me the scribbling was a bit much.. but if it works for you.. then it works for you

i like how you arranged it though =]
