QUOTE(libertie @ May 5 2008, 06:44 PM) *
About the absent thread, Jusun unpinned it deeming it unnecessary..

i can't even come close to understanding the reasoning behind this. if someone wasn't here, you could easily just go check the thread. it's more unnecessary to have to speculate about where a mod is rather than them just posting in the absent thread. even if they make their own thread it's just going to get knocked off the page, or be impossible to search for since everyone will have different titles. the absent thread was a way more organized idea.

f**king stupid imo.

unnecessary for people who can see the absent thread backstage, yeah.

/end rant.

Okay no way in hell am I going to PM Trish abut this because she'll either ignore it or be a total bitch about it.

I think this is total bullshit that she "stepped down" and NONE OF US received any kind of resolve about it all. The moderating staff is obviously trying to keep this low key as possible, even though we all have been WAITING for what has been going on. Are you guys really going to keep us out of the limelight? Is it so hard to tell us what went on about this, while she was gone, and how it even GOT resolved? Don't tell me that Trish just "stepped down" because of other responsibilities, without even addressing exactly what she did and how you guys went about to resolve it.

And I am not in any way directing this to a single person (sorry if it came off that way).

hm.

i think i'm not such a fan of this micron presence on the boards. yeah, it's pretty cool that he's the creator of cB and all, but he was better as an "absent father" type of figure if ya get what i mean.

I'll give you a bit of a timeline:

Jusun moved that topic to resolved and said he would move the issue backstage. He did. A few of us commented, but for the most part we all said we wanted to wait for Trish's response. We waited. During all of this time, she never posted anything (at all) backstage or in the public forums, so none of us ever got closure on the issue either.

When she returned to us yesterday, she IMed Rebecca and I telling us she would be stepping down due to a lack of time and dedication to CB and the desire to focus more on a new job. She didn't say anything with regards to the "jocking" issue other than that she didn't feel the need to defend herself and that it would be pointless for her to respond anyway.

So in short, we haven't been trying to keep anything from you here; the issue was that we wanted to give Trish a chance to say something. Instead she chose to step down - whether or not she made that decision related to the incident here is up in the air, but the reason she gave is that she is now more occupied with her job and has less time for CB.

^thanks for explaining all of that.

it's just frustrating when she has never explained herself or admitted to anything when it is so clear she has done something wrong. it is so childish to just step down time and time again and then come back as if nothing happened.

and she should respond, as i don't see how it would be "pointless" since we are still curious.

LMAO! I'm sure if she was 'popular' and favored, she'd have stuck around BUT she doesn't have time anymore =(. Not that I give a shit.

Weird that when this all surfaces, she doesn't have time.

Almost like when Melena surfaced, she suddenly lost interest.

Now, she'll be back in a year and yall will be like "o hai trish! come back to staff!"

It's going to be an endless cycle.

If I want to remain cool, then I think my limit is two months.

Otherwise I'll probably still be here (and not cool) then.
