i got my period yesterday. stubborn.gif
and it was whatever, meaning no cramps or pain.
but then when i went to bed, i got cramps.
i was awake for like an hour & a half because the pain wouldn't let me sleep.
so i got up & took some advil which helped.
luckily i told my mom i didn't want to go to school today because i got bad cramps today.

anyways,
do you gals know what can ease the pain for cramps? i really don't like to take medication unless it is severe. i read in this topic that eating pineapple relieves cramps. & do those hot patch things work? any tips would be helpful.

thanks

ugh i got mine this morning... wacko.gif

i use the hot patches and it feels so good. i also drink hot tea that my mom makes for me and i try to stay away from milk and chocolate (for me that makes the cramps worse). i eat a lot of fruits and vegetables and reduce my intake on greasy foods and that usually makes it easier for me.

Yeah, go for a brisk walk or jog for a little bit.

Heating pads do work, although I've never tried using one myself.

Ugh, i got mine today, too. _dry.gif I don't really like to take meds for it either. I usually don't. Applying heat really helps me sometimes. Exercise normally gets rid of it for awhile.
When I really just cant handle it, I just take an ibuprofen. thumbsup.gif

i dont get cramps no more since i started taking birth control.
but wen i did get em id usually lay in the fetal postion and have a pillow between my thighs. i never used a heating pad at all.
any thing warm will help. try cherries soaked in hot damn and take one em of and ull be set all day or try a shot of liquor that warms the body up. usually excersizing works.

I'd advise my two bestest friends in the whole wide world -- heating pads and midol. :) The combination of the two work WONDERS, especially since I get mad cramps during my second day of my period. =s

Heating Pads, Tea, and Midol helps too. Also i get cravings for chocolate when i have my period so i eat some chocolate and all that eases it up.
