Ok, so here's what i have for a layout so far, how can i make it stand out and be good. Rather than too simple, or too overcrowded?

Feedback would be nice.
I'm looking to get better in my designs.

Im not sure about ie, but on FF the advertisements, the google images and the music player are all in textboxs, that only clutters the layout and is really distracting. The overall layouts seems a bit to plain, and the content is not big enough, try making the links a little more attractive, by adding better hovers, overall its way to plain and white.

Thanks for that. I haven't checked it in firefox yet.

I haven't added a background and stuff. Because I've left it open to ideas. Anyway. I don't think there's too much I can do with this. I'll have a play around and see if I can come up with anything interesting.

Is there anyway I can align my divs to be perfectly centered. I'm using a widescreen laptop. And it always looks fine to me. Until I view it on another persons computer.

No No.
=]

That's the base of my layout.

I'm wanting to know what i can add to it, as what type of background, i dunno.

I think it's a bit suckish, and i can't do much with it.

what would really make it appealing is if you added more color to it, especially the "About Me" text. You could make it similar to your signature, or even fill each letter with a cute, colorful pattern. And then work from there, with brushes and other things you might want to include. the layout has potential, just keep working on it ^.^

o_O thats it? I mean I figured it would be a completed layout, but instead its just an image? I think you should change the text, I mean personally I don't like bubbly text, so it could just be me. It just seems childish? Also add some color, get away from the black and gray tones, their so boring and scream out when the teens hit those stupid depressing stages when they want to be cool and 'emo' rolleyes.gif I think you should get away from having such a strict border, like right now you just have this plain circlish rectangle. Get away from having that border and add some brushes or something.

what to do what to do pinch.gif I think you should just add some color, keep the main shape and just add some brushes to spice up the sides a bit. Think of your signature and your avatar and look how vibrant the colors are on that, maybe go through the recent accepted layouts here on CB and get some ideas?

Thanks for that.
To be honest, i don't really like it anymore, i thought that maybe i could do something really good with it, but as you said the border ruins it, and i think it's very restrictive aswell. And as for colours, for now i do want to stick to things which are bright, keep it nice for summer!

Oh and it was a full layout at one point, the thing is, that's just how it looked on the layout, i left it open to ideas, but i use that myspace to make all of my layouts on, to test them and stuff, so i had to just put the image up instead. Oh well.

I think this topic can be closed now. But thanks everyone for the feedback!
