Is it easier to sleep when it's cold, or hot?

I have a hard time sleeping when it's hot and humid, and I'm all sweaty and sticky, even after I just had a cold shower 5 minutes before going to bed.

i like to sleep when it's really really cold. i turn fans on and stuff, even in the winter. sleeping when it's hot is the worst feeling to me. you can't even use blankets that way and it takes me a long time to get to sleep. it makes me really pissed off and frustrated.

I like sleeping when the temperature is just right. Not too hot, not too cold. Last night was aaaabsolutely horrible. It was super hot, and I couldn't get a wink of sleep. :(

Nice alliteration in the topic title, Tung.

It's much easier to sleep when it's cool or room temperature. Sleeping without a fan or AC in the summer sucks.

I get cold really easily so if I'm in a hot place, I'll knock out right away. If its too cold and I have some blankets (3 or more) I'll be out like a baby as well.

Sibilance, I believe. wink.gif

I like hot nights. Gives me the opportunity to cast off the sheets and pajamas, have the windows flung open and gives me an excuse to be tired the next day.

No fans or air conditioning here. I just wallow around in a pool of mud and then hibernate away in the dried mud cocoon for the rest of the summer, like a lungfish.

Me too. I love sleeping when it's cold. I like to also have a blanket too but I like the room to be chilly.

I think it's easier to sleep when it's cold rather than when it's hot because if it's cold, you can just sleep with a bunch of blankets over you; if it's hot, what are you going to do? Turn on the AC? Then you get cold, you get sick, or you don't want to pay for it.

I wish it were cooler right now. It's yucky warm.

I like it when the air is cold, but I'm tightly wrapped up to be as warm as possible. The contrast is good, plus being warm is more satisfying when you know you ought to be freezing.

I like it when I'm closer to warm than cold, no matter what season it is. Especially in the winter. I wear hoodies/sweaters so I'm nice and toasty. It might be uncomfortable sometimes but the warmth really does lull me to sleep.

Btw, studies have shown that you are more likely to have nightmares in a cold environment than a warm one.

Hell, I would just love to sleep through the night!

But, being able to snuggle under the blankets when its chilly is nice.

Oh my god, I need to sleep in cold. When it's hot or warm, or even if heat is coming out the vents, I WILL block the vents so no hot air is in my room. When I'm sleeping, I need a fan or something. It is so hard to breathe in the summer when the AC is not on 24/7.
