I'm doing something wrong..., Font effect with Adobe Photoshop Options

Information that might help:

Using Adobe Photoshop CS3
Following this tutorial
and I'm getting stuck on step 11 on page 4.

The distortion is "greyed" out in my settings,



and I can't follow the steps properly.

Now if i try another picture [some random picture] and filter -> Distort -> all of the choices are available; it's just for this text based effect that Polar Coordinates isn't available.

I've followed all the steps in the tutorial correctly, I don't know what I'm doing wrong, any thoughts?
