There's all these topics about the OC, american idol, janet's breast, and whatnot.. So what about books?! It says Entertainment. Movie, music, tv, celeb, art, and book discussions. Or are books a bore to talk about now-a-days? Heh..

i used to be quite the bookworm and read lots of fiction books, but now i just got of it, i guess. the only reading that i do now is the boring textbooks i gotta read for college, blech.

some good books that i read:
Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte
Why Girls Are Weird by ( i forget the author)--really funny
A Walk to Remember by Nicholas Sparks --this one is really sad, i actually cried when i read this, it's the book, the movie was based on. but i never saw the movie though
The Kitchen's God Wife by Amy Tan --this book was assigned to read in high school. it's really really good. and it's the only assigned reading that i ever liked :)

Yeah, I havent read a book for pleasure for awhile.. Usually I read a book because it's required in my english classes but out of all of the books I liked The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold (I think that's her last name?)

I got into a series called "The Symphony of Ages". My mom wanted me to read it because the author is the cousin of her best friend, or something, but the books rock. It's sci-fi/fantasy, but if you're into Tolkein and stuff like that, you'll love these books. There's a trilogy, (Rhapsody, Prophecy, Destiny) and a sequel (Requim For the Sun), and a new book is coming out this month.

but other than that, I read anything and everything. biggrin.gif

yea! another manga lover. I like chobits.. it's so hilarious [the anime is funny too]

for real books I read the Abhorsen series by Garth Nix, The LOTR trilogy along with the prequel The Hobbit. I'm trying to get my hands on more Tolkien books on Middle Earth. I'm really fascinated by the complexity of the world he craeted, it's languages, peoples, and history. he made it seems so real, like an ancient civilization yet to be discovered

mmmm, good books....

Memoirs of a Geisha
Girl, Interrupted
The Perks of Being a Wallflower.

---my faves at least. And yea,
A Walk to Remember made me
cry like a friggen baby, but I thought
the movie was a little disappointing,
maybe because I read the book first,
but yea.... mmmmmm-- Shane West,
he's lovely.

And yea, A Walk to Remember

Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson was a good book, even though it was a bit overrated.. Dreamland by Sarah Dessen was also pretty good.

I've started reading Please Don't Kill The Freshman by Zoe Trope at Barnes & Noble, but the damn thing costs $15.. I'm not going to pay that much for a book I'm probably only going to read once _dry.gif
