And, concerning Full Metal Jacket and A Clockwork Orange:
A large portion of Kubrick's filmography is comprised of very thoughtful and affective adaptations (Lolita, The Shining, Dr. Strangelove, etc. etc.)

just watched the movie version of love in the time of cholera and i don't think i liked it that much. true, the director did a good job considering how much detail and in-depth marquez was in the book, but i think some parts were kind of changed to make it hollywood-ish.

but i was surprised and pleased with the actors that were in it~javier bardem, benjamin bratt, and john leguizamo wub.gif


edit//k, i haven't read pride and prejudice yet, but i finally watched the whole movie and it's seriously one of my favorites now. throb.gif
