My mom and dad have a 46 in projection tv in their room that broke. it broke twice already and they are not going to pay another 400-600 to fix it. last time it took like 3 months and it was so expensive they would rather buy another one.

The problem is we dont want to throw it out, we want to like recycle it or give it to someone else, but nobody wants it. it is fixable but its just a little big.

Is there any companys willing to pick it up and take it? Or anybody have any other ideas.

i tried to donate to my local goodwill but they dont really do pick ups. they have a truck that is operated by one person. and its not even a really big truck.

one time i tried to donate a couch but they said they couldnt take it because it wouldnt fit in the truck and only one person would be carrying it.

i was like wow.

i dunno how craiglist works....

thats why i am scared to use it. yea again i dont want to meet anybody weird. lol and for some reason i used to think craiglist was only for california.

lmao I used to live in this reallllllly ghetto neighborhood, and the back of my house was an alley. We left an old beat up dresser (it was really big though, and really heavy!) in the alley and I think my dad said 15 minutes later it was gone. It's cool we were planning on getting rid of it since it was old and shitty, but man that was quick, considering it's size! LMAO. Seriously, took 4 of us to get it down stairs and outside the door.

In my neighborhood a really beat up truck with high gates on its bed comes by on "garbage days" picking up random junk like refridgerators and other stuff people are throwing away. I mean our neighborhood isn't ghetto, I just thought it was weird. And yes they were of a certain ethnicity but I will withdraw from releasing such information.

Usually when I have to throw something that's enormously large, then I would just leave it outside, and put a note saying "PG&E PICK UP ONLY" or something like that. When I put the sign, no one comes and steals it so it's all good. You can put whoever you want to come pick it up (that's willing to). You can also donate it to a relative who's in need of a new TV or something haha.

Our town has a drop off depot for that kind of stuff. It's cool cause you can go in and take anything you want. There are always people scavenging motors from old lawnmowers and washing machines.
