Don't like, do the lip pouting thing. I get all weird when people do that and then I start pouting and it's just a damn mess.

Well uh...pretend you didn't read what I said!
I also met Iyari Limon (Kennedy), who talked to me about Sophocles and Aristotle for an hour, which was kind of weird, and the guys who play Andrew + Johnathan, which were a riot. They're so cute. I want to marry Johnathan. I'm going to kill myself for not knowing their names. Man that convention was so freaking awesome... |

I met Andy Hallett, who played Lorne on Angel. He was a great guy, really fun to talk to. We chatted for quite a while and he ate some of my sandwich, which sort of made my knees weak in a bizarre way.
He was surprised I recognized him (seeing as he always had his green "Lorne" face on the show). I spotted him right out though, and he complimented me on my glasses. I can't believe how retarded that paragraph reads. |

I just started Angel season three. I love Fred and I love Lorne, and I'm still sad about the great lose that was Doyle (seriously).
But, although I don't think Angel is as good as Buffy, so far, I think it's starting to get there, slowly but surely. It's actually a lot better than I expected (making me want to even give Firefly a second chance). |

YOU'RE GONNA BE EVEN MORE DEVASTATED :[
That is...if you like certain people as much as I do. I hate the devastation in these shows! I cry every time I watch the last episodes of both... You're also going to hate Sarah Michelle Gellar more than you must right now after watching the last bits of Angel. Bitch. |

I really, REALLY need to watch Angel, I feel so ashamed that I've never got round to it...
Ah well. It will always be Spuffy for me, anyway. |

I am double posting to praise the glory of Once More With Feeling.
For I am lying in bed at 1:22 on a Friday watching Buffy and eating doritos. <3 college. |

^ Ahhhh, loved that episode.
That and Tabula Rasa. And I'm such a Spuffy shipper, too. They were meant to be together, Whedon, can't you ever get it right? I've only watched the first three seasons of Angel and a few sporadic episodes here and there. It kills me to see that new show(ish) that David Boreanaz is in because it's just ... bad. |

It's actually a lot better than I expected (making me want to even give Firefly a second chance). Personally I was never a big fan of Buffy. Angel was great. I loved it, although it kind of fizzled out in the middle. Season 5 (the last season) was probably my favorite, or a close second to Season 1. Best series finale ever also. Firefly was my favorite above all. Only 13 episodes and I got very emotionally tied to the characters. I definitely suggest it. |

^ Firefly is a classic. The cast gelled so quickly and the chemistry between everyone was fantastic. Some of the characters I identified with quicker than others, but eventually I grew to love them all.
Angel was a difficult series for me at first. I had/have always been an avid Buffy fan and the change (Angel moving to his own show) was hard on me at first. Season 4 of Buffy started of rocky and awkward, which didn't help matters anyway. Also, the introduction of her new love interest (Riley) didn't thrill me at all. It took me years and several repeat viewings of seasons 4 and 5 to actually grow to like Riley. Season 4 did pick up the pace though and has one of my favorite Buffy finales ("Restless"). I mean, how can you not love the Cheese Man ("I wear the cheese; the cheese does not wear me"). |

I do love me some Restless, but I still don't like Riley. He's boring. He's a filler. He has not much substance and he's servile. Booooooooooooring.

Riley was a complete bore. Then Hush happened and I had this "he's actually quite attractive when he doesn't speak" reaction. Then he got whiney and whored himself to a vampire hooch. I understand characters not being liked by everyone, but he has to be the most unlikable character in the Buffyverse. Honestly, I think his purpose was to fulfill a network desire to have someone available to makeout with Buffy (oh and lots of sex). It would have been far too early at that point for her to develop anything with Spike.

^ Agree.
Even though I personally would've liked Season 4 better if Riley was just a friend and the love interest was just Spike and her shooting him down. I mean, I guess she did that anyway, but Spike is infinitely more interesting to watch than Riley. |

![]() So, I had been watching Amazon.com for nearly two months waiting for this to go under $100. The day finally came, and I just got this in the mail. I'm really stupidly happy about it and I'm planning some serious Buffy watching. |

Shit, this thread is making me want to dig up my Buffy dvds (my aunt bought me all of the Buffy seasons and my sister has all of the Angel seasons, but I refuse to watch past season 4) and have another marathon.

^ Yeah, I heard, but I also read an episode transcript of the finale (stupid, I know), and I'm really not looking forward to the cryfest I had at the end of Buffy.

I actually didn't like season 5 much the first go around, but have grown to love it since. I do, in complete honesty prefer Season 6 so there are a few "classic" episodes that season. If I were to step back and look at the whole picture, season 5 would probably be the weakest season. |
