Being biased to change the age limit to your own age, just so that you could see them is quite selfish.

Yea, that's probably why we wouldn't want little kids to watch rated R movies, just look at your language!

at least 16, ne younger would be no no.

17 seems fine, cause seriously, if (the older people in here knows) u look back at 16, u remember u was still immature at that time and did some still stupid things.

took the words right out of my mouth

I'm 12 and seen a fair amount of Rated-R movies. They were on video though... shifty.gif

I dunno. I guess, it should be based on how well a kid can take obscene material for their age. rolleyes.gif

My first rated R movie was Speed. I was 5 and I thought it was hot. I just wasn't allowed to tell my dad haha.

I've been watching R rated movies since I was like . . . 2. Probably even before that. My parents didn't really care. But legally . . . I think kids that are 16 should be able to watch it because that is the legal age average in most places.

I think 15 or 16.
Because at the age of 12, kids have seen enough R Rated movies to be allowed in anyways.
We've become descensitized(sp?)

i agree.

i know when i was 15 or 16, i didn't know much about anything but the 15 and 16 year olds today know everything. hehe

I think it should just stay the way it is... 17 to watch 'R' rated movies... I mean, c'mon now, it's rated 'R' for a reason... plus I hate it when little teeny boppers are watching the same movie as I am.. they act so immature, it's just really annoying.. so it's nice to get away from the teeny boppers when I watch an 'R' rated movie... tongue.gif

I don't really understand this whole you have to be 17+ to get into rated R movies... yet you're what? 13-16 and paying the price of an adult to get into the movie... If their going to make you pay for yourself as an adult, they can at least treat you as one.

It depends on WHAT rated R movie. Some should be 17, while others (like bowling for columbine) should be perfectly acceptable for anyone to watch. I think that at least 1/3 to 1/2 of Rated R movies are overrated. Most of these are political movies. James Bond has more violence, much more sex, and about the same amount of language as Farenheit 911, Bowling for Columbine, or the Manchurian Canddiate, which are all Rated R -- my best guess is because of politics.

i don't think it should matter because some people are more mature than other people at that age -_-.. and i personally LOVE Hard Gore(Puahaha) and all these other disturbing stuff, im perfectly fine with it, i have no problems sleeping at night or anything.. but because of the rating i can't go watch it for like 4 damn years -_- unless i make friends with the people at the theatre or something -_-..

so it should be up to the people who are buying the tickets to judge for themselves whether the movie is suitable for them or not.
