I'm not very good at it, but sporadically since about 2001/2002. I stopped for a long time and then got back into it in 2004.

Lets just say I have lots of free time to learn to do stuff, I don't consider myself good yet though, just decent.

You were nine years old? blink.gif

I used to use a lot of premades when I first ventured onto the web as "Queen Kink" or "Queenie"; before settling down as S. Majere in June 2006 and designing from there.

Going on 11 years, and all self taught skills - (web tutorials, of course, haven't even read any books). I only buckle down and do something major for a design when someone pays me or I decide to slap some extra elbow grease on that sucka.

And just for reference, I'm 28 and graduated high school in 1997. Got into graphics a year later, and just been designing stuff ever since. So yeah, I pretty much feel like 'the old guy' around here, lol.

When I was 10 years old, I didn't have Photoshop then, so I had to settle for paint. Messed around and didn't feel like I could do much. Then one year later, I got introduced to Photoshop and my friend sent me a copy and I got PS 5.0. I got a bit more creative with the brushes and all, then I lost interest. I thought I could make way better things with it than paint, but I still wasn't interested. After a few good months, I got back into my good ol' designing days and got PS 7.0. I designed with that for a good year, and then lost interest, again. After another year, I got CS2 and I finally started doing more advanced things such as retouching (I'm a bit better at it), and making layouts and image maps. I've been designing for about 7 years on and off. I was self taught for about 2-3 years and then I discovered tutorials (yeah, I was a late bloomer XD.gif). Everything is good from here on out. I'm still designing (seeing as I have a website) and I don't think I'll lose interest anytime soon.

I think a little more than two years. Mostly self-taught.
