Sometimes i wish i had the shrug smiley for when i comment someone. but..course, there are no smileys. but wouldnt that be soo great?! i think so =]
i was also thinking of more smileys for aim, but course cB doesnt have any control over that.

//edit:
sort of out of topic, but whats with the ">.<" being cut off in comments? itll come out as ">."

Well I'm glad you two are so enthusiastic about this. XD

I think that smilies in profile comments create a potential mess. I know one of the things I hate most about MySpace is all those glitter graphics and even though smilies are much smaller in scale, I still like seeing plain text in profile comments here.

Trish or Toya might be able to give feedback from a more technical angle, but I wanted to at least give an opinion on the idea itself.

^well, im not saying we should allow people to put coding on it that comes up as "THX 4 tHE ADD! <3". imo, smileys do not create a mess. i mean our forums are pretty clean, no?

^Yes, I think that the forums are clean. =)

It's really a matter of opinion. My opinion is that profile comments look better with just text.

Wow, I can't tell if that was a sarcastic post or not.

I can see how smilies could ruin the whole clean and simple non-myspace look of CB's profiles, but I think mostly everyone here would have enough sense to not overuse them.

Ahaha..669th post.

I agree 100%. Smilies on profiles could get extremely annoying especially since anyone can comment you. I think the simplicity of cB profiles is what I like about them.

And there are a lot of people on profiles that do not have common sense to know not to overuse smilies.

Would it be at all possible to have a "disable smilies" option?

OR (and this is just a thought) we can use our creative minds to convey what we're chatting about by using actual words. ;)

Jusun is the only one that can say anything about that. To me it's just like why go through all the trouble, when you can smiley your heart out through PMs and on the forums.

Haha, to each their own. XD

Well, Jusun (micron) is the only one who can enable that, if it's even a possiblity. So hopefully sometime in the near future he will see this thread and shed some light.

You can always just type the smiley code and let the person you're commenting imagine the image there. xD

and another flaw in just inputing the code, is that they may not know how the smiley looks like..

" *shrug* " may not be smiley text but as long as they can read, they'll get the point.
