Hells yes. I've seen their tribute band, Mercury, twice - and if they're a tribute band; God only knows how good Queen were at their peak.

Why not? It's way easier to refute your claim than defend it. They're okay, they've got a couple of great songs, but they've also got quite a bit of material that I find unlistenable. "Best band ever, hands down" is a pretty broad statement, and even if it isn't taken literally I still completely disagree.

Agreed. While I do have my fair share of queen songs, I do think, that they aren't the best to ever do it.

Sums up why I agree. lol

Music by Queen can be enjoyable, definitely catchy. In my opinion, if you want a more prolific, more ahead of their time band, you want to try out ELO. Not that I think that ELO is the best band ever, I just think that they're MUCH better and far more creative than Queen ever was.

great, no.
i look at a band in general, not a few songs. Queen does have a few amazing songs (Bohemian Rhapsody is kind of our choir trademark laugh.gif ).
but still, considering the HORRIBLE difference in their songs-some being over the top amazing, some being crappy as hell-they're pretty balanced out to just be "good" on my list.

try some Dream Theater. <3

I like a lot more of ELO's songs, but there's still those 10-15 (I haven't counted) Queen songs that I can't get over, and I think they're better than all the ELO I've heard.
