Yeah that one. I don't know anybody who has personally used one of these.

Overpriced. To get a decent amount of weight from those buffoons (they come in different variations), you'd be paying $400. Use the money for a gym membership so you get access to a squat rack.

True that is what I will do. I could definitely use the leg work.

Squats and deadlifts increase GH and testosterone production from the sheer quantity of muscles being recruited, so they'll have affect on your upper-body, as well. They're the most important movements you can do.

I wish there was someway that I could do the squats in my crib, but I totally agree with you that they need to be done. They definitely help the upper body, but it will be a few weeks before I can get into squats. I gotta get my strength back up first. Can't half step on this.

Just start squatting light, and work your way up. Lifting lightly will carryover to your heavy attempts. This is how some of the strongest athletes in the world, Westside powerlifters, train: two heavy days (max effort), two light days (dynamic effort).
These are some routines I put together for beginners: http://boards.gamefaqs.com/gfaqs/genmessag...;topic=38694471 |

Thanks for the advice so far bro. No homo, but that squat pic you had is definite motivation.

I made a public service announcement to promote squats and to say no to useless exercises (coughtbicepcurlscough):
