I know we use to get a ton of girls posting topics like, "OMG! AM I PREGGERS?" and we got really tired of dispensing the same, common sense advice. Yet, I think for most sexually active teens, a pregnancy scare is always there. And obviously, teen pregnancy is still a huge problem.

For those of you who are/were sexually active, did you ever get a pregnancy scare? Did it turn out right? Wrong? If it was wrong, did it have any effect on how you have sex (aka, did you learn to be safer)?

Being a (potential) teen parent doesn't apply to me anymore. I'm no longer in that demographic. victory.gif

I've had plenty of scares and one really unfortunate letdown. I was almost a father once.

Oh yeah. It can be...scratch that. It IS a very scary thing. Thats kinda what made me pledge to abstinence til the next eternity pinch.gif I've been clean since! Well...luckily I was negative and ended up getting my period the same day I left school to get tested. (Womp womp...) But it definately opened my eyes to see what a jerk my ex was cause he said if I was to just kill it. (Who says that?) Anyway, getting back on topic. Don't have sex, kids. You will get pregnant and die.

As long as one is careful, yep.

But yeh...this is why birth control is a good thing. =p But yeh, I got really paranoid cause my period was late, but I think I was just stressed and then it was late and then I got more stressed, so yeah...

I'd advise against that. . .

I've never thought I was pregnant after sex, in any case. However, I do know that a lot of my boyfriend's friends have had girlfriends who went around lying that they were pregnant, for god knows what reason. Attention? To salvage the little bits left of their relationship? "Our relationship may be falling to shit, but I'm pregnant, so you have to stay in this."

We're in the same boat. I want four Dobermans (which I will consider my babies, anyway), but my boyfriend is limiting me to two. How messed up is that? What a control freak.

Indeed. I am in the position where right now, I have let one bad thing expose all of the bad things that I have done, and I have been at a complete standstill.

"A baby don't keep no man..."

A man doesn't need to be a husband to be a father. If his girlfriend is acting up, then so be it. I don't encourage broken homes, but I support single parents, especially single fathers.

one of my ex's didn't get her period for six months. she gets it every other month, so it's three skipped cycles.
she took two tests, they both came out postive.
the next week she took another one, came out negative.
thats probably the biggest scare i had... in my entire life. i was 17 back then too

we have had a couple scares a few years ago. there was one time when we both thought we were. we were both getting to be very excited ( i have a medical issue and i most likely wont be able to have children over the age of 23)i was 17 at the time. I was outa school had a very nice job at the hospital. he had his own place. it would have worked. then we were let down.. big time. its a year later. and now we are just waiting to find out the sex of the baby!
