Yet again, Lance Corporal Saunders got voluntold to do something extremely time consuming for the entire company. For once, I'm actually interested.

For Black History Month, I've been taked with preparing and presenting a a showcase for Black History. My focus, obviously, will be what I know best; music. Already, I'm in the process of writing about several influential hiphop (yes, haters, hiphop) artists that uplift the human race and continue to steadily strengthen foundations within the Black community. Sorry for the disappointment, but not even KanYe West will be included in this one. His Katrina comment set us back a few years (lawlz).

I'm going to transition into the influence of how this music could have a better influence on popular culture with the necessary exposure, and how these artists should receive better recognition for their intelligence, philanthropy and contributions, as opposed to viewing hiphop as a blemish on the face of music. Of course, I'm going to tie in examples of their work and have a period of time where I can interact with the crowd, setting up an open forum of sorts, for questions, comments and concerns. Hopefully, the Navy side of the house can keep common sense in the house.

This is not in Entertainment for a reason.

The issue:

I need help on the presentation. I was tasked to do this, oh, let's say, 30 minutes ago, and even though I have no problems creating a basic outline for what I'm going to do, putting this into motion, and having a well done presentation will be a bit difficult. I'm busy enough with work, and pre-deployment training exercises to shit out insightful ideas right now. I don't want to lecture, play music, ask for input, then leave. My portion of the presentation will be sadly overlooked.

Any suggestions?

You got yourself some turntables, that should help you work some magic right there if you can incorporate them. Especially since hip hop started with the DJ...

It looks like you already have a good idea of influential hip hop artists, but just need some suggestions for actually delivering your presentation, yeah?

...So, they gotta be Black, huh?

Conservatives aren't going for that.
