So, I have this "friend", and he's pretty much goes around alot. He goes to parties alot, and he sleeps around alot with a bunch of girls. People, always tell him to use a condom when you have sex, but he never does. He say screw it, he'll never meet that person again even if she gets pregnant. But recently, he found out this girl he had sex with before, has came to him and told him she's pregnant. So my friend been dating her few days now, trying to be there for her. She's out of state now, so they communicated by phone. Do you think he is right to be with her, because of the baby? What do you think?

1st thing I have to say is that I hope this ain't about you baby boy, alright?

Anyways, for this "friend" to be with the girl for the sake of the child is all good & fine but lets be realistic. The chances of them working out is very low so in my opinion I just say that they just be involved in the child's life. Single parents do exist ya know

If they're not a good couple together and just slept around, it is one stupid idea to be together for the sake of the kid. Children need to grow up in a healthy environment, and that doesn't necessarily entail two parents. He has a right to see/visit/communicate with his child in the future, but she can make her own decisions by herself.

Well, of course he has a right to be with the baby. I mean, he's his father. Does he still sleep around and etc? It's kind of f**ked up for him to go around having sex (without wearing a condom, too...) and not give a flying f**k if the girl is pregnant, but definitely he has a right to be with her. It is for another living and breathing soul. wink.gif

my cousin had the same problem, got drunk and the guy didnt use a condom so she got pregnant and eventually broke it to the guy. she hated the guy anyway but now their ok , their engaged, and the weddings next month...so yea. they both cleaned up their act just for the baby

At least he's being responsible in this situation by supporting the girl. He doesn't have to date her just for sake of the baby, unless that's what he truly wants. But he shouldn't abandon his responsibilites either.

I think that, until the baby's born and other decisions are made, he should continue to keep in contact with this girl.

I think he needs to be in the child's life, but for somebody to try and hold a baby as ransom for you to be with her is just wrong. I love it when girls try to pull that baby shit. Bitch he can give you child support and visitation and keep it moving. If it is not a healthy relationship, my advice would be to stay int he child's life, but also be aware that you have to have some respect for the mother of your child. Hopefully this helps your boy.

Then it would be better if he stayed and help out his girlfriend, because she will need it.

Best of luck to your friend :)

your friend should try and make it work with the girl. even if shes not the girl of his dreams, he should try really really hard. b/c growing up with only one parent SUCKS. Its time for your friend grow up and put his wild past behind him.
