WTF. 1 credit is NOT $500. Did you NOT read my post? Maybe you should go back and actually re-read READ what I just wrote. One credit/unit is not $500 at a community college. If you're taking a class that costs that much, then you're getting ripped off. And you're only checking it up this week?! For a guy who's so self-conscious about money, the smart thing to do would have been to consult with a counselor about it. I doubt that you did because they're hired for a reason, okay? They're supposed to help you. If she was "checking you out" and seemed like she liked you, she should have been more helpful.

You don't even seem like you're sure about any of this, so I highly down you even KNOW about credits.

1 credit can only equal one class depending on what class it is. Classes like english, math, science, history, etc. are usually 4 units.

The simple fact that you are incapable of weighing your counselor's advice to random people on cB's advice, I have to question your ability to do anything at all in life.

No, she's not right. You should not take these classes because they're useless. Take fewer classes and do much less than you otherwise would. Scholarships love that.

got a merit scholarship + money from usc savings plan, courtesy of grandaunts + out of pocket payment. i'm under CUNY, so it's not so bad.

however, i lost my scholarship and the grant about a year ago when i f**ked up my GPA, so now i pay $3000 out of pocket per sem -_-"

still not too bad though.

I have no idea. I have a $2000 loan in my name.
I have another loan for the first college my parents practiacally forced me to go to.
My mom did the FAFSA through Sallie Mae for $28,500 and they aren't doing student loans anymore. That's in my dad's name.
Then I'm getting a $24,000 loan for next year put in my name.

You aren't going to last a semester in college if you keep writing the way you do.

I went to a University and writing composition is a requirement. You can't make it through unless you pass it.
Typing like that normally does transfer over to your writing of term papers.
