Why won't they replace your phone? What happened to it? I can get some higher-up's numbers, if you want...that's what I had to do.

I bought an UpStage back in June on a whim and loved it. After about 3 months, I kind of grew tired of having to flip it over and over and switched my number back to my Samsung A920. I used that for a couple of months and recently decided to give the UpStage another try. Things were going weird so I took it to my nearest Sprint store. At that location, they don't offer tech support and referred me to another store 30 minutes away. Ok, no problem. I get there, tell them my problems and drop off my phone to be looked at, with an hour wait time. Fair enough, it was early, so I just went to breakfast. I come back an hour later only to find out they need to refurbish is and that it'd be another 40 minutes. I told them fine and that I needed a phone, so do whatever. I go back for a third time after that, am told I'm good to go and travel home. The UpStage begins to freeze, making it unable to make calls, recieve calls, send texts, or recieve texts. I then go back to the Sprint store I started at where I was told nothing can be done. I then go home and get on with Customer Service. First lady is very understanding and offered to change my account to have a $150 rebate on it, almost as if I'd had the UpStage for 2 years and this is my reward for it. This way, I could simply get a new phone for the price it is with a new 2 year contract. She tells me it'll take about 2 to 4 hours to process the code and that it can only be used online. I wait out my time and find out that it can't be used online, with my account saying I'm not available for upgrading until December. I then call back, tell them my problems in which they tell me I can only use the $150 in the store. I then travel back to the store. They look up my account and say that there is a note from the first lady saying I have the rebate, but they can't offer it because they use a different system and are prohibited using Sprint coupons. I call Sprint, again, and explain what is still happening. The lady tells me the code added to the account and tells me to go back into the store and ask if it can now be seen. I'm looked up again and still no code. The man at the store talks to the lady I'm on the phone with only to hand the phone back to me and her saying I can only use the code when ordering over the phone. She then says she'll transfer me to someone higher up to work out the problem. She connects me and I get the recording saying the office is closed. I leave the Sprint store and call again explaining what happened. The lady assures me that the only way I can use the rebate is over the phone and doesn't know why no one had told me that at first. She then goes on to explain that the coupon is only a mail-in rebate and that I'd have to pay full price and wait for the money to come back. I told her that I was informed by the first lady and her supervisor that I could get the phone I wanted, with the rebate, and a new 2 year contract for $99.99. She says it's not possible and tells me to call back tomorrow to speak to a supervisor. I called back today and had to REPEATEDLY ask for a supervisor. I finally got one. She said the coupon is on my account and should work in the store. I go to the store, the man rings everything up with the coupon and whatever else and gives me the total. He then goes to close it out and says that the rebate didn't go through like it was saying it was. I call Sprint AGAIN from a phone they had on display and explain my problem AGAIN. She says I'm only available for an upgrade in December. I told her everything that's happened, what's been done, and what I've been told. She can also see the note on my account stating the problem and the adjustment with the $150 rebate. She then says I can only order on the phone and I ask her to transfer me. I'm transferred to someone who sells phones over the phone. I told her my problem and even she said there is no way that she can make the $150 adjustment because I haven't had my phone for 2 years. By this time I'm frustrated. I told her everything that happened and she said she'd transfer me to someone who would be able to help. She transfers me and AGAIN I get the recording saying that their office is closed and to call back during normal times. Fact of the matter, it was only 2:30 pm and the people in the store said they should not be closed. I then told the people in the store what happened that time and they said they really don't know what they can do, but told me to come back tomorrow to try to resolve it with their manager which is someone who I spoke with last night. I finally had to call like the executive offices or whatever and bitch at a lady, who just gave in and ordered it.

Now, I got the Palm Treo...finally, and took it in yesterday because phone calls aren't coming through and texts take anywhere from 20 minutes to 3 hours to come through at times. They claimed to fix it and it was working well, but tonight and last night, it's doing the same thing. I just want a phone that works. It wouldn't be bad if I didn't have to drive 30 minutes to see a tech since the one nearby doesn't have any, but it's the only thing I can do since no one knows how to fix anything. There's no point having a phone if the two basic functions don't work, no? I hate demanding newer phones, but I'm not going to settle for the same phone and continue to go through problems every two months. I'm about to tell them to cancel, and that I won't pay the fee.

Anyway, that REALLY sucks ass. Sprint can be a real bitch sometimes. My condolences. console.gif

Last week, I left my phone in the pocket of my sweatshirt and my mom washed it with the laundry.
We let it dry, and it turns on and everything, but the sound doesn't work anymore. We called customer service, and they said they won't replace it without a fifty dollar fee because they're taking RAZR's off the market. I asked for a free upgrade, but they said they couldn't do that either.

Basically, it's one of those 'wtf' situations. I guess I'll have to switch back to my other phone (which is far better despite being three years old), and use that until we can contact someone else.

Usually they don't replace water damaged phones regardless.

With that, I'm going back to Sprint tomorrow, EVEN THOUGH I know they won't do anything, but have some hope they will. If not, I'll be calling the executive services.

I've had no problems with Sprint mellow.gif A few contract issues (either we accidentally "renewed" or we didn't sign one), but they weren't too hard to sort out.

It's f**king cold, my parking lot is f**king far away, and falling asleep on the floor of the lobby made my hair smell odd.
