I was going to put this in the Girl's Locker room, but I dicided it could pretain to both boys and girls. So I have a boy friend and his name is Brandon, and we like to talk alot on the phone at night. But my question is, is there some unwritten rule about falling asleep on the phone at night with your boyfriend or girlfriend? I mean if I fall asleep and he's awake, he just hangs up.. Or should he tell me he's hanging up? Or vice versa? Sometimes I wake up and find out either he hung up, or he or I hung up accidentally.

Does my question make sense? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. [=

omg.gif This shit happened to me last night, and I just hung up on the bitch. I feel as though if you are that tired, you should have the common courtesy to be like, listen hun I am tired and I am going to take it down for the night. I am one to talk though, because I have fallen asleep on xbox live plenty of times. laugh.gif

I would think that if you feel tired, you'd just straight up say it. What is there to be ashamed about?

No i'm not talking about the part of falling asleep. I'm speaking of who is the first to hang up the phone and what not? I have no problem falling asleep on the phone with him. It's comforting.

well. if he doesnt mind you falling asleep, then obviously he will hang up first or there will be a hell of a phone bill the next month? i seriously dont understand though, are you in a long distance relationship. if not, you cant substitute actual time together with phone time. its not... err... close and personal?

sorry i cant be of more help. im falling aleep right now... zzzzzzz

Don't worry, I for one know exactly what you mean. Sometimes we are individually so busy until the end of the day that we can't talk to each other until then. After a few hours we jump into our own beds and keep talking, wash up and keep talking, turn out the lights and keep talking... and then one of us just falls asleep. I think it's perfectly fine if he just hangs up if you're asleep. _smile.gif

It's happened to me before. I've never fallen asleep on the phone with someone before, but I've people fall asleep on the phone with me... maybe I'm just a boring person, haha. Seriously, though, it's not a big deal. If I really want to talk to him and he's tired he'll stay on the phone with me and that makes me more happy than I am upset that he fell asleep on the phone. Make sense? At least tell him you're feeling sleepy than it isn't out of the blue you're pasted out and he's confused.

agreed.

my dude and i fall asleep with each other on the phone probably every other time we're talking at some wild time in the morning. it doesn't bother me, and he just thinks it's funny/cute.

my general rule is if he doesn't wake up in the next 10-15 minutes, i just say goodnight... i don't mind listening to him sleep.

How can you fall asleep on the phone? I'm usually so wired to hear from my beau that I'm practically running up walls.

well, i think that's something that you should talk to your bf about. the only question i have is does your bf have a problem with you falling asleep on the phone? because if they do then it's up to you to step up and say that you're starting to get sleepy and would like to get off. a few hours away from each other helps: abstinence makes the heart grow fonder

I used to fall asleep all the time when I was up talking to my ex in the early morning, he usually just hung up and called back to wake me up but I've always wanted to be on the phone until he woke up to say good morning. I don't think theres an unwritten rule, I mean you could ask him to call you back tomorrow or call you if you fall asleep. XD.gif
