A military fire department is where it's at. wink.gif

You should try for an ROTC scholarship, might as well commission if you're in college.

My brother came back from Baghdad last year. He was there for a hell of a long time. He was in Ramadi too. I get to hear lots of cool stories... only he's undeployable because of his PTSD. But I wish you luck! Don't go too nuts.

Have fun and Good luck, my manager was there for a good year or so. I live near plenty of marine bases so we have plenty of marines come by our store and we talk to them. It shouldn't be to bad I'm sure. You'll be safe and sound.

Yeah Holly, how would you like it if someone spelled your name "holly" w/o capitalizing the "h" at the start? Wouldn't that offend you to no end?

I don't give a shit. My grandpa was in the marines, and I'm sure he wouldn't give a rats ass if I didn't capitalize the "m" or not.

I was seriously considering joining the Marines last year, but it would have interfered too much with training. Give someone a fist to their spleen for me.

Are you going to be able to contact people back home on a regular basis? Internet access? My friend's boyfriend's in the Airforce and he was deployed to UAE a month or so ago. I know she's constantly looking at her phone at the same time every single day waiting for him to call her.

I never really know what to say to someone that's about to be deployed. Is "good luck" okay? Or "be safe"?
