Theres so many people on myspace that doesnt understand simple html, like omg, idk why but i cant stand it.

I also cant stand people who have there myspace decked out with these gay/stupid/cheap icons/videos/pictures.
it makes them look so stupid, i dont use pictures, but the most i EVER have of icons/videos, is 1-4, it just looks cheap otherwise.

Inexperience annoys you? Well, that must be one hell of a statement for you to say because I'm sure you're inexperienced in many, many fields of deeper CSS or Javascript. People who aren't familiar with basic HTML don't annoy me, they're just not familiar with that type of knowledge. So what? We all start somewhere. It's not like people are born with these skills, it's something to be learned. And a forum dedicated to MySpace support is a great start.

I my myspace isn't "good looking" but its organized lol.
I have a little under advanced html knowledge, mainly because i have it for a class at school, and its like all i do on the computer, besides AIM and paint shop pro.

As a one of a totally inexperienced people for HTML or CSS or any those kinds of stuff, believe me I feel so frustrated and so stupid to find that so hard to understand something with those langages. In more I am french ... and to try to have support or informations in my langage is even more difficult than to try to learn english as I do...

Well I am a very perfectionist person, and I prefer to do nothing than to have a ugly something on the net, but I try. But when I see ugly pages from other people, that don't annoy me : I am just very compassionate

I see on you Myspace profile, than you are so young. If your age is true... You are born with any sorts of codes in your teaspoon. And all the technology is normal for you ... but it is another vision of the world for more old people as me.

"JuggaloSKfan" I have spend 1 day to find those stupid small codes for just center and for make a space bettween 2 lines. So ridiculous codes because so tiny ... isnt'it ?

I have take a look here too... there are great codes for many things, but didn't find the code for only : "center a text"

Oh well I will love sometimes to have a cousin somewhere for replace my things. I will be thankfull.

I HAAATTTTEEE it when people use Tom's stupid layout maker to make UGLY layouts! Can't they tell their layout sucks? Who wants to look at a myspace where the tables are transparent and you can't read anything?!?

And someone will say "Look at my layout! I made it all by myself.". And I go and look and it is some poorly made generator layout. That is not MAKING IT BY YOURSELF!!!!

Well. I know what you mean, but can you really say that? So they don't have an interest in learning html or codes, so they use layout makers. It's not really a big deal. What do you expect from myspace, anyway. It's like with clothing or accessories. Some people like it simple while others like it showy and multiple, even though you might think its tacky or gaudy.

I don't mind if they're inexperienced. The only thing that I do mind is when they use others (not-so-good) layouts and say they made them, or use generators and say they did it. If they're willing to try to make something on they're own, I'll give them that. We all had to start somewhere.

Lots and lots of people have a million little graphics on their pages. That does bug me, which is why I just let those people comment me so I can hit the "Comment Back" button and I don't have to see their pages. You think they'd preview their pages, because sometimes the graphics don't work and get all messy.

i agree all with the generator stuff. i used to use generators, only for the convenience, but i didn't make them flashy, transparent or way too bright. it's actually so very illogical to do that.

but then again, you can't push anyone who's inexperienced to learn all this. only people who are truly interested in learning HTML+CSS will really enjoy doing it.

To an extent, yes. I don't think it's fair to judge people who are without a simple understanding of html. MySpace doesn't require that to be a user and it certainly isn't a knowledge absolutely necessary in order to use and enjoy it. If it is something that bothers you that much, why not offer help instead of complaining about it? I don't mean that to sound insulting (I hope it doesn't come off that way), but I've always found it more productive to help than to complain about ignorance.

Not everyone is computer savvy either, thats not their field, their talent. They have other talents that you might not have, but I don't think they'll bitch about it if you can't draw a picture very good, or kick a soccer ball very straight.
