Ah well...finding a stick[wand] & trying to do spells. Hoping my Hogwarts letter would come... rolleyes.gif

I've also stayed up quite late reading countless times...actually, I've gone without sleep & read straight through before. I think that was the fifth Harry Potter book.

Uhmm thanks to some books I've had a very dark outlook on life for short periods of time...well, a lot darker than usual at least.

After reading Fahrenheit 451 I began telling everyone how important books were, and kind of making a fool of myself about it.

& While reading Twilight I would literally sit in my room and fantasize about Edward.

After reading the fourth Harry Potter book, I drew a dark mark on my arm and went around pointing a stick at people and shouting "CRUCIO!" and didn't understand why it didn't work...

while actually reading, I've read for days without sleeping, only moving to get a new book, get some coffee, or go to the bathrooom.

but that's mania for you... haha.

I've stayed up late just to finish the book, especially with the Harry Potter books. After I got my book at midnight, I stayed up all night just to finish it.

OH! i was at one of my friends house in Jeff City, and she was sleeping so i finished my harry potter book. i can't remember which one...uhmm, i know it had this thing about his symbol or whatever it was in the sky. when i stopped, i looked out the window and everybody was running around playing and people walking around and i was like "how could they be out there at a time like this, let alone having fun?" so...i felt pretty stupid. XD

While reading Twilight, I brought the book with me everywhere like a conjoined twin.
I've also been convinced I was a vampire, and when I hugged people I came very, very close to biting their necks just to see if I could enjoy the taste of blood.
Almost.

got sad and cynical for a while because of a book..starting thinking human beings are ultimately evil.

I did something similar. I decieded Holden from Catcher in the Rye was my hero so I became severly depressed and nobody was worth my time besides a select group of friends. All my teachers thought I was antisocial and my parents considered taking me to therapy. I'm glad that didn't last.

I used books as the ultimate escapism as a kid; everything I read became real.

I would consider this more emotional than crazy...

While reading Stephen King's The Stand, my favorite character died during a heroic act. I bawled like a baby.

That's how it is for me when I read a lot of books.
