anyone in a band? do u perform? what are ure influences? talk about it!

i used to be in a cover band for 4 years, and now i've been playing solo for 4 years as well. we used to cover stuff like rage and silverchair but now since i'm solo i tend to write heaps acoustic stuff.

musically my influences are incubus, silverchair, and various forms of jazz and blues. vocally my influences are daniel johns, brandon boyd, and almost any black american singer.

Our main influences are radiohead, jack off jill, incubus, hendrix (guitar parts) and a little bit of bob marley (some songs have a bit of a reggae twist to it)

what sorta percussion? i hooked up with a percussion group back in malaysia that jams every sunday. everyone mostly plays djembes. its so much fun!

my biggest influences are lamb of god, hatebreed, killswitch angage, some dimmu borgir, cradle of filth, atreyu, and chimaira. i try to be slightly technical. like in the middle of the 2 chord slipknot type and the crazy hard riffs that pull muscels in your hands.

i don't know. i don't really want to be in a "scene". i just know i don't want to drink or smoke and being able to say "i'm straight edge" gives me a way to be proud of my choice when my friends pressure me.

hmm i dont call it band like play at skool or anything... we jus make our own band like we play it by ourselves...heh we made some songs, but i quit...cus i moved lols...heh so yeah but i started to dislike punk rock...heh well i used to love it so much...but now im into korean songs and japanese songs more...like ayumi hamasaki, utada hikaru, shinhwa, baby vox, eugene, s.e.s., boa, g-dragon, 1tym, yg family, etc.

my friends wanted to start a band, but none of them know any instruments. I think it would be fun though. I think if I were in a band I'd want to play piano, because I'm bad at guitar.

Im in a band called Musical Ministers we are a mixture of hardcore and emo..me and my friend carlo sing (he mostly screams and i sing), we played a few shows at clubs and parties, the best part is playing shows but the hard part is getting them..
