Gossip Girl, Working layout. Options

Okay, so my friend who is obsessed with GG, told me to make a layout. I gave it a try. I haven't made layouts in awhile so yeah...... This one is very vibrant in colors and the banner is kind of big. I hope it's NOT TOO big. =/


I need some C&C before I continue it. I really suck at choosing fonts. lol. Also, would you use it?

I dunno how to thumb. LOL.

As you can see, below the title text, thats where the main content is going to be at. The white box next to it (not sure if you can see it), thats where the navigation and side content.

WTF those pictures are amazingly cute.

okay first of all you shouldn't really cut people's legs off..it's just not..good?

and you'd want to align the bottom two large boxes [cut off leg one and 3 people one]IF you are going to cut people's legs off.

also, the gossip girl large text shouldn't be cut off, then separated. enlarge the text altogether, then make the middle part transparent, and add the text etc.

no other complaints except for maybe too many clashy horizontal lines all centered around that large break between the four pictures

This is a really cute layout, but I'm not so sure how I feel about the blue strip running down the image. And why is there some sort of gradient for the top bar on the left side, and it's normal on the right side? It's asymmetrical, but I do enjoy it, otherwise.

I was going to try to have the two top images be the same width/height, but I only realized it after I did it. So I was like, okay, I'll just make the width the same and not minding the length.

Yeah that is true, it's assymetrical from left to right, but the right part, would be repeated horizontally.

- Oh I see. I did that in the beggining, then I changed my mind so I rasterized it and split it. I guess I didn't know how ugly it was after someone mentioned it and looking at it several times. LOl.

Yeah, definitely fix that font separation. Just put a line through the middle, don't cut it and move it. It looks weird. And I think the font in the middle of the black should be cursive.

I think when you do the name thing, you should repeat it on the top and bottom, the same names. Don't put the one on the side. I mean, you have one name that's repeated (Black Lively) on top and bottom, and then that Penn one...yeah, just repeat it in horizontal lines on the top and bottom inside borders of the pictures.

i like it. It very colorful. Maybe you can use the logo font for gossip girl.

Personally, I think that the Gossip Girl font is very nice and suits it very well. The picture seperation is unnecessary, really. The Penn Badgley in the far right on the red background is very out of place with all the other text. I would remove all the words on the top right corner picture because it's not needed since on the picture of their feet under the top left picture, their names are already there.

Other than that, I think that the pictures are very vibrant and bright. Not too bright, just enough. It looks very good, other than the fact on what doiink said about cutting the text and moving it, just cut it, the Gossip Girl text is very nice and suits it very well. Good job.

Oh, and here is an idea. Where it says Gossip girl in the small text in the middle of the big text, you should put "you know you love me" instead of Gossip girl so tiny, since their is already Gossip Girl written big. Sorry if that was confusing.

What the f**k, that's adorable with the content and the heading. You even JUSTIFIED the text, can I love this layout any more? I like it.

I would use it, too, if I knew the show at all or its existence. If I were you, I would remove some of the space you have now from the top to the image itself. Not sure, it just looks more efficient that way.

^ I had to put about 100px or so on the top because sometimes the banner Ad will show. If I take it out, the Ad will cover the main image of the layout. (x

This is gorgeous I love the banner images! I like how you split the ones on the right, but the left image, how it spilts at their legs, I somewhat find it a bit odd.
Content is really cute :D

The banner looks really good, the coloring is great, coding is fab, etc. I don't watch GG anymore but it's so pretty that I'd use it.
