Unlikely for anyone to have a problem with that, might as well add that Bob is "a human being of the male variety." I thought I already proved my point. I mean, I wasn't the one changing topics (Kind of moved from point to point rather quickly?). First it's cause he's shoving his sexuality in your face (must be gross!) then it's because he's just a moron (I definitely saw more "f*g" than "idiot")? I read the topic, it took a few pages before anyone really started to get him talking about the issues, and I'm surprised anyone did get him to talk seeing as everyone was being such an enormous ass to him.

But, if you really wanna get upset over someone being an idiot, maybe you should take it up with the kids sure that gay men are just kissing boys cause it looks really rad. Or, maybe the guys who think that homosexuals are treated perfectly equal, it's just when they let us know that they're gay is when they get shit (cause that makes sense). The kid didn't say anything even remotely as idiotic and ignorant. Sure, he missed the fact that Congress didn't actually amend the constitution to, in effect, ban gay marriage, but does anyone care that that was a major running issue for president Bush's reelection (I could see how the kid could get confused)? Big deal. He wanted to start a thread where he could comfortably discuss very serious issues with like-minded people, that should be encouraged. But, I guess there is a good reason suicide rates are so high among gay and lesbian teens (but this has nothing to do with his sexuality, it's just cause he's a big old dummy!)

the very fact that inequality between gays and straights has become such a big issue in the first place is a MAJOR improvement from, lets say, ten years ago when we just didnt even talk about it.

All you can do is, yes, spark discussion amongst your peers, promote sexuality, and most of all educate yourself about the issues that are important to you. He's not helping our cause by bitching about things he didnt even take the time to at least google. (and I say our cause because I am bisexual, I have a lot of gay friends, and I support gay rights). What are you accomplishing by doing this? You're only feeding false information to a handful of people that MIGHT want to learn more.

As someone who -has- had to deal with this in my life, I don't appreciate having to listen to someone who has absolutely no clue about what's going on, and ALSO wants us to delete all the negative posts in this thread, thereby stifling other peoples freedom of speech. What kind of ass backwards way of accomplishing anything in the way of gay rights is that?
