for myspace? you're not allowed to use javascript, so we can't help you with that.

i actually think it's impossible. i tried to find a code for that. searching through google and everything but none of them worked. hopefully someone here at CreateBlog will be able to come up with an answer. and i can use that for the website.

Uh, why wouldn't you want to allow people to right-click? It's not like it's going to deter them from viewing the source. For Firefox, just go to, View > Page Source. Or, CTRL + U. No one even right-clicks to view the source anymore; disabling right-click is just stupid.

MissHygenic, we're trying to find out how to hide the source not how to view the source. of course, you won't be able to find out the code from viewing that person's source, because, well, you can't really see anything. The reason why she doesn't want the people to right-click shouldn't be any of your concern. Did you even read the whole thing?

Yes, and now I'm wondering if you can read or not. Don't question me whether or not I read things. I give thoughtful answers across the board. There is NO possible code to hack into someone's browser and get rid of, "View Source." I told her how to get someone's source simply by having a web browser. So, what's the point?

It's not my concern, but it's my logic that she doesn't need to go out of her way to disable right-click. It's not doing much.

that's what she said. i think she knows how to view source.

well then she's obviously lying, isn't she? since she said that someone was able to do that.

in my opinion, i know it's impossible but it doesn't hurt to help the person instead of questioning them about what they want.

edit

never mind, i'm not gonna argue.

Well, then get real, because not everyone should help the same way you do.

I'm here, not to tell people that there's a possibility, but I don't know it. I'm here to tell them exactly what I know, and if I don't know, I don't say anything.

I wasn't responding to you, I was asking the original poster. If she finds that code where you can right-click, but it doesn't have the "View Source" option, well, by all means, tell me. She's going to have a hell of a hard time finding it. It doesn't even matter because I can go to the main toolbar and find her source, anyway.

Edit: You're not going to argue it? Well, that's a shame, even after addressing me by my username and attempting to use diplomatic language to handle me. You even capitalized, as if you're putting me in my place. My, my.

I don't know any other way besides javascript and meta-tags to disable right click and to disable view source and both of those ways are disabled by myspace.

Whoa, chill guys.

There is no way to stop people from viewing a source code. Period.

There are tricks; like encoding things and making coding unreadable - but Myspace doesn't support encoded sources.
