Somehow, I'm not really sure where we have political discussion around here. Do we have political discussion around here? The news subforum doesn't count, I want discussion.
So. Obama and Huckabee in Iowa, eh? Thoughts? Feelings? Opinions? Personally, I am pleased that people are voting for Obama, but distressed that they're voting for Huckabee. A Baptist preacher as president, really? Plus, no one wants to live in Arkansas, so why do we keep having politicians come out of there? |

i made a topic about this earlier. well, not really, because nobody knew who huckabee was. so, forget that topic.
anyway, f**k huckabee. it's ridiculous. i seriously do not want to live in a country where the president believes jesus is gonna come back anytime now(so screw protecting the future)and evolution is a hoax. a baptist preacher, ffs. i duno, i can't even explain how much i don't want him around. |

Where's the thread?
I think he seems like a nice guy. I do. I just don't want him as my president at all. I'm sure he has good intentions and all, but I strongly believe in SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE ! |

Oh, totally had not noticed that thread. Damn. Then I got all thrown off because it's now Friday and all those posts say "yesterday" on the time stamps. From staying up numerous times this past semester, I have concluded that it is not "tomorrow" until the sun rises. But anyway.
Romney kind of creeps me out. I've been trying to educate my mother on politics, but it's proving very difficult as she does genuinely vote based on candidates' physical traits or for whomever my grandfather tells her to. We were watching Obama make a speech, and she couldn't get over how big his ears are. She doesn't like Hilary mainly because of the way she sounds, but also looks and acts. Edwards isn't okay because he has a southern accent. I distinctly remember her not voting for Gore because she didn't want to look at him for four years too. And this distresses me because that's probably how a lot of the American public votes. |

ugh, mike huckabee, no offense to the people that have that last name, but I wouldnt want to have a president with that last name. Barack Obama sounds much better than huckabee.
and plus i dont want him as our president, huckabee that is. im not sure about hilary at the moment, so far i am with obama. |

^ Lol why are you judging people based on their last name. I mean cmon, we had President Bush for the past term. :P
Obama or Richardson for Democrat, though I don't think Richardson is fit to lead. I've taken a liking to Giuliani...I just don't like his views on cutting funding esp to public education. Ron Paul has nice ideas, but...he's ridiculous. I like his sincerity though haha. Yeah I don't like the current candidates. I'll be working at the polls on election day even though I can't vote :) |
