As others has said before me the thing with asian parents yea.
I as well have them , sigh. So i have to be sneaky and go behind their back. But since I only had around two relationships I really don't have to worry right now for my parents suspicions. But if i did have a current boyfriend I definitely would have to go behind their backs.

I've tried having a boyfriend behind their back, but they eventually found out from the parents of someone that knows us. After that I figure I'd rather be honest then get punished for my honesty by seriously being on lockdown, then have to suffer lying to them all the time

Haha, I would certainly hope that my folks care about my having a boyfriend - we've been in a relationship now for nearly 18 months
 I always told my parents about guys I was interested in before I even met my current boyfriend. I couldn't imagine keeping secrets really. |

Haha - my parents randomly brought this up in the car when I was moving into the dorms. All through high school, my dad hasn't really cared (he'd joke around about it) and my mom was just anti-male. But what they basically said was that they didn't care if I had a boyfriend, as long as I kept my grades up and let them meet him whenever they came up to visit, which I thought was pretty decent.

My parentals never realy cared. I never really started dating till i was like 15 so by then they trusted me to go out in a group; never alone with a boy, but slowly they let go and now i go out of the country with my boyfriend. (mind you weve been together 2 years) im 18 now.
I do suggest you tell your parents about BF's & GF's because if theyre against it and you tell them its not like they can lock you in your room forever. |

i didn't tell my parents... my friends told their parents and their parents told my parents.
i hate parent gossip circles with a bloody passion. i don't get why my friends talk like that. and then part of it was just other parents seeing me with my boyfriend in random places and talking. blahblah. |

I've only taken 2 people home to meet my parents since I've been dating. One person I was with for 4 years. I don't tell my parents about my relationships or take anyone home unless I'm sure about the person and unless it's serious.
