My family has always eaten healthy food, but like in the past two years all we eat is organic products. I get teased by my friends about it, they call me a hippy, but it's ok because I know inside of me that I'm going to end up being the only one without cancer :P. I was just wondering if there are any of you out there that also like eating organic food?

just because you eat organic foods doesn't mean you won't get cancer. for all you know, you could be the one getting cancer. (i'm not being mean...just truthful. wink.gif)

and we sometimes eat organic foods but we usually eat meats.

Organic as in vegetables?

Well, if that's what you mean, sure I eat vegetables but not as regular meals, just as a side wink.gif .

And yes, just because you eat organic/healthy and what-not, it doesn't mean your chances are lesser of getting cancer.

I try to whenever possible.

The growth hormones in regular meat and the pesticides on normal produce can increase your chances of cancer. Of course, you can never totally prevent getting cancer, but I think every little bit helps.

Ew ew ew ew. My one best friend eats all that organic food shit - peanut butter, cookies, the whole nine yards. They're all utterly disgusting! What's the point in eating cookies if they're not as bad for you? rolleyes.gif The peanut butter was icky. HOW CAN YOU FCUK UP PEANUT BUTTER?

I kind of agree with Kathleen, I never knew you could mess up peanut buttter. pinch.gif

I don't know I use to shop at whole food markets all the time. I love the cleaning products there mellow.gif

but their food is nice as well. I suppose I can't exactly eat 100% healthy though, my family would look at me oddly.

I've been eating Organic food since I was a little girl. lol

My mom has always been into it, and ever since I've been dieting and exercising, that's usually all I eat. It honestly makes me feel better.
Sometimes tastes better too.

Shop at Whole Foods all the time. Organic all the way, haha.

Omg, I love organic peanut butter.
They call it organic because everything it in is natural. There's not all that added sugar and stuff. When they say peanut butter is good for you, they don't mean Jiff or Skippy.

I like to eat organic they just taste better sometimes. My lizard loves organic veggies, haha. You just have to be careful sometime when you buy them.

Organic food is so good.
My parents dont eat it, but my sister and her roommate do.

I guess you could say my family eats 'organic.'
We raise and butcher our own meat, my mom has chickens she gets eggs from, and sometimes we have a garden, but yeah.
The meat does taste a lot better than the stuff you buy at the store, but I can't tell the difference with the eggs.

I think it's fine to eat organic food, but when you go out to buy organic products, that's just going overboard. I knew a girl who was so big on organic shit that every chapstick, face wash, sunscreen, and toothpaste she bought were all labeled "organic."

Yes. Artificial vs. natural flavoring is actually a joke. Advertisers are trying to suck your dick by saying they're "healthier" because it's a trend right now to eat organic or be vegetarian / vegan / etc. It's an expensive hobby. My parents are obsessed with buying and eating broccoli that is just "regular ol'" broccoli.

I was gonna create a whole new topic but then I felt bad with letting this catch dust.

I try my best to eat as organic as I can. _smile.gif I mean, not because of the whole health factor, I mean, yeah, thats a plus but it really does taste a lot better without all that sugar junk. My parents aren't really into spending all that money and they just go for the food they're used to so I'll probably have to wait til I move out til I can go organic. The most organic I can get is milk and juice drinks.

ive tried it. Im not really into the taste of it.

However theres a place in town, where i live, and i find it kind of funny that they will go absolulty ballistic on you if you bring eat chips in/by it or have a soda when you come in.
Even more ironic because they are next to 7-11
i havent been yelled at yet : D even though i pass there everytime i go for a slurpee run.
