text & skinny table problems :( Options

By accident i deleted my layout that I always use :( I was trying to make it similar but I am have problems figuring some html out.

1. Skinny Layout - I put in the code to make it skinny, but it didn't change at all. Another thing is that I dont want my default picture to shrink when i make it skinny.

2. Text - I want my About me, Who I'd like to meet (orange text) to be hidden or transparent?... I also want my Music, Television, Books ( left table ) to be hidden as well. I don't remember how I did it :(

3. My bold text isn't coming out bold. I used to have it set up so that when things were bold they would also be another color without having to make each one a different color. Hopefully someone will understand what i am saying :/
