Alright, I'm confused and kinda scared if you get me in a dark room, lol.
Subconsciously I believe there are ghosts but logically I believe they are fake so I don't really know where I stand on this.

I'd write a huge thing on it but it's confusing. blink.gif
What are you stances on ghosts?

Wow. Logically you believe, eh? Good logic there. If you really believed they were fake, then you wouldn't be scared of the dark. Logically, that is. Is what I believe....logically. You see?

What I believe logically and unlogically is that you're a dumbass. Ghosts or no ghosts. You're a fucking dumbass.

You're asking a bunch of 13 year olds if they believe in ghosts or not. Wow. It's like asking a five year old if Santa is real. Well, I'll tell you. He is. Go check your mother's bedroom on Christmas, I bet you'll find him giving her a present. laugh.gif

shouldn't you be creating threads dissing nate?
how many 13 yr old are really on this site because i dont know any?

when you are being shown all these tv shows about ghosts, you'll be bound to doubt yourself. you're telling me after watching a scary movie or a documentary focused on ghosts you've NEVER been sucked in? ok..

this thread is about ghosts and not how you hate yourself.

I know people that claim that they've seen them but I don't know if they're real or not because I haven't seen them myself. Those people had to see something though but maybe they have a special gift where they can see things like that.

I think ghost exist but I call them spirits which is the same differences.

I don't think ghosts exist, and I don't think it's worth my time trying to make something out of the intangible. Real people are already a handful for me. I don't think it exists because first of all, I've never experienced this event, not even with an ouija board. Secondly, you always hear about people reporting ghosts but those are all people who want attention from the media so that they can tell their story and be famous.

yeah, i agree. a year ago or so my sister says that she saw this little boy outside a second floor window and so did my mom. then again she could be toying with me.
idk, even though halloween has passed i see a lot of things like on the travel channel maybe, about "haunted" places and never saying how ghosts are fake.
then again, watching this throws it out. haha

also with all new psychic shows popping up it gets ridiculous.

Well, I have to admit that I love stories about haunted places. I don't think there are such things as haunted places than it is the idea that it's abandoned and perhaps the small community of people who live there give off a bad "vibe." I'll never know. If there are such things as ghosts, I don't believe that ghosts are able to, like, intersect humans and make themselves noticeable, if you know what I mean. Seeing ghosts or seeing them pull down shades, or something is just so out of this world to me.

Haha. I do 'diss' Nate. He's a fucking retard. Scary movies aren't scary. They're FUCKING movies. You know what? I really don't know what to believe. There really isn't any evidence to show for either.

I was always told that ghosts are spirits who are stuck here/never moved on. I honestly don't know what to believe. There's always shows about them all over TV. I might think they are in fact real.

well im the type who has to see something to believe it and umm this not something i want to see! haha
i mean i see this "spirit" talk on prime time tv even. montel has it every wednesday. im not saying i believe it, especially after looking her up.
and i have looked at the tv show most haunted and how it is fake.

but when my friends and family say things, that's where i am torn.

There's nothing out there to tell me they don't exist besides people's words... there's also nothing out there telling me they do exist besides people like Sylvia Browne. Words may be important but you can't always trust them. Until I see Casper floating around my house I'm neither yay or nay.

I have my reasons to believe that ghosts actually exist. I can't say I 100% believe in them, because I still have days where I'm like, "Oh shut up Lauren, you're just being a silly coward." But then when I think back on all the things I've heard from people I trust I really start to believe in them.

These are some of the stories I've heard:

My gym teacher(And he doesn't believe in superstition):
He believes he has a nice ghost child living with him. It has never brought him harm though.

He has an apartment with just him and his wife and one Christmas they set out this wind up snow globe that his mother-in-law gave them. Now, his mother-in-law was coming to visit for the holiday so they had to put out the snow globe to show her that they appreciate the gift. Him and his wife never once wound up the snow globe and while he was watching football he heard this little tune. He muted the tv and the snow globe was playing it's song - not for a few seconds, like for a minute.

Maybe it was a coincidence? But then he has walked up the stairs to his bedroom and felt a rush of wind and thud of stairs in front of him. He claims the ghost ran up past him. Then when he got into his room he SAW the ghost sitting in this chair in his room. He said he could just see like the translucent outline.

Then he was sleeping one night and his fire alarm went off and had to evacuate his apartment complex and then when he went back inside he yelled at the ghost and was like "I don't care if you need a place to stay, we can make room for you on the couch but stop pulling fire alarms and waking us up at 4 o'clock in the morning!!!" And ever since he yelled at the ghost he hasn't heard from it since.

The thing he is really worried about is that his wife just gave birth to his newborn son and he is afraid that his son will have an imaginary friend and that it will be this ghost...

Another story -- my boyfriend's friend:
He used to live in this house and ghosts would always show up in rooms when you were alone. And usually in his parents room the ghosts would just sit on the foot of the bed as they were going to sleep. They were also nice ghosts, they didn't bring harm... but still! That is so freaky.

These are the things that make me believe in ghosts. I honestly believe there is some living nature out there other than us.. I haven't the slightest idea how but if there wasn't things like these wouldn't happen, haha.

I would be scaird shitless if I came encountered with a ghost, but gosh, I LOVE ghost stories. They are so interesting!

Someone told me once that a ghost is a 'natural recording'. I like that turn of phrase; but I'm not sure what to believe. I don't really dwell on the dead.

If there was even the slightest evidence to the existence of ghosts, Discovery Channel would be all over it.
