Great job for you first div layout :)
Coding wise, you've done very well.

Design wise, you've done well too, but I have some suggestions.
For your content areas, I'd only make them as large as you need then to be. There seems to be a lot of empty space. Also, you might want to explore combine different images into a blend.

It's important that you have a design theme for a layout, and I can see one developping, but it's not quite there. Try adding elements that reflect the design of different sides of the layout... in other words, try to pull the layout together and unify it.

Again, great job!!! Seriously, you have done so much better than some people... your color scheme is great!

Any tips ?

Depends what screen you have because mines 17+ inch, also depends on how you minimize the screen.

Help ?

Bland, off-center, and not browser-friendly. Plain is different from bland; plain can be sophisticated, don't get confused. You need to focus on dramatizing the background and less on the text areas. There is too much negative space to make me feel as if I'm comfortable with this layout. However, at least the text is aligned with the boxes in Firefox.
