i was at my grandparents house for thanksgiving and was reading a magazine that was sitting on their couch. i was surprised when it read that girls make up 50% of the population that play online games. my initial reaction was that the census must have been flawed. and my current thoughts are that ya it's probably flawed.
probably just a bunch of secretaries bored out of their mind playing online checkers. |

eh, i play a lot of mmorpgs and whatnot and i'm a girl, but i only know a couple of other girls who actually play like an actual gamer, but almost all girls i know has tried something like maplestory at least once and just quit right afterwards.

I play games and I am female there are not many hardcore gamer girls out there but check out sites like Gamepro or Gamer C there are a few hardcore ones there.
I myself play games as a pass time here and there. |

I can believe that, I'm a massive closet geek. I used to play more in my mid teens, but I haven't the time so much now. When I did play, I'd be online with Stormbreaker, AvP, Populous, Halo and Dungeon Siege.

I'm a girl who loves video games of all sorts! I spent years sitting on my ass playing games. It all started with the first Nintendo. Then I went to Playstation and I had a few computer games I liked. Now I don't really get a chance to lock myself in my room for days to finish a game that I love. I miss those days. If it wasn't for video games, I would be very bored in this little hick town and I would be in anger management classes.

There's plenty of girls who play online video games. i mean, I think we've all tried Gunbound, Maple Story, etc. Hell, even I get on XBL every once in a while.
Those who are in disbelief are undermining the women population who do play online games. Haha when my boyfriend played FFXI back 2 (or 3?) years ago when it first came out, there were chicks playing. Oh man, what a boring game. I wish I had better hand-eye-coordination to play all those hardcore video games online, but unfortunately I do not.
