Because you wanted opinions, I just wanted to share that I find the image in general lacking a bit. I like what you have so far. Simplicity is a good way to go as over-doing it is a bad idea, but there's a void in the finished product.
Do you see how the, uh, swirly white thing makes an angle to the presents? It looks like an unfinished triangle. In a non-lacking image, you should try to go for triangles, so my suggestion is to put something little at the top-right corner to "finish" it. |

i change the green and red. I like the green as is, but the red i knew it was too light.
