I like to think that everyone wears some some of adornment, or carries something with them, that means something special to them.
I've found it to be pretty accurate with most people so I was wondering what it is that you wear specially or symbolically? Mine would be my Claddagh ring. My boyfriend bought me it before we went to separate universities as a sort of 'reminder as to the other ring he'll buy me after our courses finish'. Needless to say, it's my most prized piece of jewelry I own. So what, if anything, do you own? |

Uhm, I have this woodstock (charlie brown) ring that was my grandpas and then my moms. I don't wear that a lot though.
I also have this ring that I always wear on my left ring finger. It was a graduation/birthday present. & its kind of a promise ring, I guess. I really want a Claddagh ring. I almost bought one in Ireland. |

Needless to say, it's my most prized piece of jewelry I own. My story is sort of similar to yours. The only jewelry piece that holds any sentimental value to me would be a silver necklace that is a simple chain with an infinity sign hanging on it. A best friend gave it to me before she moved to another state, and a month later on my birthday, she died in a car crash. So, I just always wear it around. |

Wow, that's really sad. I'm so sorry.
![]() Strange how you were given an infinity necklace though. |

I have ring that belonged to my great-great aunt on my mothers side. I don't wear it though, because it's in the bank safe box because it's worth about $20,000. No way am I wearing that.

I wear a wristband on my right wrist. My friend was on the Basketball and a month later he found out he has leukemia. So the whole Basketball team wears it now I bought it for everyone and every time we shot we say HiBachi means Hot in Japanese. He's Jap so we do it for him. I got everyone to say that, his mom was at our practice and gave me a big hug and said thank you for everything. That meant a lot for me.
Edit: On the wristband saids Challenge For Health 3x...His number was 3....Long Live Theo Daniels. |

I have this bracellet that I got when I was... ten maybe. It's the kind that stretches, and you can add links with things on them.
Anyway, my sister and I have them, and when she got married, she got me a charm for sisters. Now, she lives far away, and I miss her all the time. We're ten years apart, but closer than twins. For some reason, I feel like crying. |

I have a gold ring with tiny tiny diamonds on it. I've had the ring since I was 10 & it was passed down to me & was originally owned by my grandmother who passed away before I was born because of cancer. Ever since then I've worn it on my index finger on my left hand 24/7, so it's permanently imprinted on my finger. Like...if you remove the ring, you can see the outline of it on my index.
About 2 & a half years ago the ring broke, I think I accidentally hit a wall when I was asleep or something in the middle of the night. I woke up & found the whole front part of it broken with the tiny diamonds all over my bed. Luckily I was able to find all of them. I never got around to taking it to my jeweler's to get fixed so for about 6 months or so I basically had that imprint on my index finger. On Christmas 2005 my boyfriend ended up doing the whole corny "I love you" thing while we were up in Mammoth. Surprisingly his other Christmas gifts to me were a gold necklace w/a diamond pendant & my grandmother's ring, all fixed & everything. I was totally floored since I didn't have a clue he had it & my parents to this day don't know we're dating & are all "no boys in this house", so it was kinda impossible for him to get ahold of it. So yeah, long story short...the ring is an heirloom & a promise ring at the same time ![]() Edit: I didn't realize the story was this long. Sorry ![]() |

I've only really got one. It's a gold bracelet that my great grandfather made for my great grandmother when they were dating, as a gift. When she died, she left it in her will for my mum. And my mums given it to me. I wear it on special occasions and sometimes just casually.
