QUOTE(1angel3 @ Nov 20 2007, 10:27 PM) *
Yes I blame her (when I say "the people" I meant her). THAT'S when the little girls parents should have step in, really. It stated that the parents had her password and look at her messages. That tell me that they didn't look through it carefully, if so, they would've saw the comment or message. One thing about the internet. If someone get out of hand like that. You can always cut off the computer. That's the good thing about. But the blame always fall back on top of the parents because they didn't monitor her right. They didn't read the terms and conditions. It's your parents job to protect you, even from yourself.

Wow seriously. The the other girl's mother would have never even done anything, THIS WHOLE THING WOULDNT HAVE HAPPENED. Do you not comprehend that? The reason she got a rope and hanged herself is because of what the girls mother did. Parents cant protect their child 24/7. They were checking her myspace, they tried to let her have a normal life. I dont know how many time you were dropped on your head as a child, but normal people dont blame the parents for another persons wrong doing.

QUOTE(1angel3 @ Nov 20 2007, 10:36 PM) *
She probably would laugh.gif . But on a serious note. It's not a bad idea

I dont get how that is even funny. And whats your idea.. to be her parent?

WTF SHE WAS 13 NOT 7. ONE YEAR DOES NOT REALLY CHANGE YOUR MATURITY LEVEL. WHY THE HELL ARE YOU SO HUNG UP ON THAT?

Calm the fuck down

Yes it is. But how are they gonna stop you from killing yourself? Well I guess you could lock her up but she'd hate you for the rest of her life and shed probably find some other way to do it. All parents want for their child is to have a normal healthy life [unless your one of those messed up attention seeking parents.] So I can see why they were so loose with her especially since she was depressed. They don't want their daughter to have to live out her days in a asylum or anything like that. They want her to be regular, herself. But besides from the normal fact. They should have monitored her better. I mean unless she's smart [like me! lol] and deleted the messages [permanently, as in deleting the files in the trash bin.] they could have never even known that he was saying these mean things to her.

Since when having a myspace having a normal life? No I'm not a attention seeking parent (never will be), just a parent that care, that's all. This girl didn't need myspace to have a normal healthy life because as you can see, it wasn't healthy at all. If I was her parent I would have let have an myspace but I would have made her wait a year. She could do other stuff. I don't think those girls was her only friends in the world. Now, she could've went out to the mall and hang out with friends, have sleep overs, and read a book or something. She don't have to live her life in a asylum. She just need to get out the house. Myspace isn't everything.

To be her parent? No, yes I would've handle it differently though, I tell you one thing she would've been dead. No, parents can't protect their child 24/7 but they can damn try. They have so many child protecting computer programs out there, and all these child blocks and spy software, it isn't funny.

I understand every thirteen year old child has a myspace but that don't make it right because they have one. The point I'm trying to make is if she didn't have a myspace, this crap wouldn't have happen. I know there is responsible thirteen year old out there but kids like meagan make it hard for them.

"normal people dont blame the parents for another persons wrong doing."

Yes they do. I'm not saying the other mother wasn't wrong. But I'm not going to put all the blame on her either. I put the blame all of them. There is so much that women can do, all they had to do is turn off the computer. I heard they live down the street. If Maegan and her family felt threaten, they could've called the police.

"I dont know how many time you were dropped on your head as a child"

Calm down, you didn't have to go there.

Ok to sum it all up. If her parents monitor her right, this probably wouldn't happen. If they didn't let her talk to people she didn't know, this probably wouldn't happen. If she didn't have a myspace at all this wouldn't happen. She could've waited a whole year. Her parents shouldn't have let her lose on the internet. Now that's my opinion rather you agree or not.

We can argue this all day but this isn't going to solve anything, she is already dead. I don't know if anyone could've stop her from hanging her self but it's worth a try. I stop someone form killing themselves and it wasn't that hard but it depends on the person too. I can see this girl was easily influence. If the right people got a hold to her, they could have stop her.

I know some kids have an way of making the parent feel it ok. But she had to be awfully weak minded and I know she's young. But how can you feel that way about someone you didn't even know?

This is a sad situation and I feel for the parents and I don't like what that lady did.

That's ok. I feel much better now. I don't like drama so I'm glad this is settle now. Apology accepted, friends? _smile.gif

edit////

There is more sex predators on myspace than anyplace on the web. With all the crimes and problems. I wouldn't be surprise if they shut myspace down for good. Or rise the age restriction. You may have to be 18 to be on myspace. It's seriously getting out of hand

That bitch needs to be executed for what she did.You would think a grown f**king woman would not stoop to that level and even go as far as to say that you would hardly feel bad for what you did.theres something really wrong with you right there if you feel that way.

DEATH

I heard about this.
At the very least, the parents should be charged with accessory to suicide.

The girl suffered from depression. How she perceived the world and hwo her ability to hand things is a lot different from yours.

She obviously felt like she knew and understood this person really well. She was already having troubles with her friends and probably didn't have very many, so to finally find someone who understood her would have been really exciting. She had all this shit going on with her friends and then she loses the one person that gets her and likes her? That would be completely traumatizing. She lost everyone who liked her, everyone who understood her. She didn't really have anyone to relate to.

It doesn't fucking matter whether a person is on Myspace or not, if you know the person through the internet or not. They're still a person. Why is meeting someone in person then flying to a different state and getting to know them on the internet make them any more important to you than meeting someone on a forum and getting to know people? I don't understand why people think that the location of someone should make them any different to you. The fact that some girl lives in another state shouldn't discredit my friendship with her. That's dumb.

You know.. if you're gonna commit suicide and go to hell cuz your self esteem is pathetically owned, why not kill those people who you would love to wreak vengeance upon? Just seem selfish that you would kill yourself without at least killin someone who crossed your trust/friendship, right?
